Just noticed my 05 DC is missing a small piece of trim at the bottom driver side corner of my windshield. No idea how long it's been missing The passenger side is there. Anyone have a part number? Thanks.

    Alot of them
They are often referred to as Cowl cover seal or Side seal. A few months ago we helped someone find them for a 2008. I don't see them in the diagram for the 05 or 06. The dealers have more in depth diagrams than what we can see.

I found it for the '07+. Right side is 538660C030, Left is 538670C030. You'll see it in the parts exploded here.

It doesn't exist in the cowl/windshield diagram for the '06 and earlier. A lot of times when you see that in the parts system, it's because it's part of a larger seal set OR because they don't sell it individually, kinda like the rubber wiper on the 1st gen cowl, that rubs against the windshield. Everyone on here's has shrunk, but Toyota makes you buy the whole cowl, they don't just sell the rubber cowl-to-windshield wiper seal.

Thanks for the help fellers. I will have to take a look at a junk yard see if I can find one or swing by the dealer and see what they can find.

I'm missing the same piece on the passenger side. I think it is bundled with the upper windshield trim piece based on my diagram investigations. If you find a passenger side piece in your hunt, I'll buy it from you and of course cover shipping too. GL

I found another post after I posted mine with someone else missing the driver side trim. It only had two posts though. I have a couple of junk yards near me so I'll swing by sometime and see if they have any first gens. I also need a couple of other minor trim pieces inside. Nothing major.

Ran into this thread searching for something else....

Last year while searching for both sides, I ran across a thread from a few years back with a @Roman post. On my next trip to Franklin Tn Cool Springs Toyota where Roman works, I was able to get those parts.
I'll also add that the part you feel is missing, is not a separate piece but part of the left or right molding.

Thanks for the part numbers Bubba. The curse of the Doublecab parts prices strikes again. Sucks.

Yep....fortunate not having to worry about sticker shock but still hard swallowing some of these prices. Fixing to pull the trigger on OEM Cats and muffler to replace the Flowmaster on there now before they become NLA(no longer available)

@artsr2002 , I meant to post this earlier. Did you take a flashlight and look in the cavity where red arrow is ?
That tail piece you're missing is attached with double sided tape to that ~2 in piece sticking out in you above picture for you driver side. Perhaps it came loose like mine did after 20 yrs and it's in that dark dungeon place ?

Mine are missing on both sides and there was a lot of debris at the bottom of the fender. So, I suggest if you are missing these to open the door and pull back the plastic cover and inspect for debris and put some protectant in there (Woolwax, fluid film etc) to be safe from potential rust. Hell, put protectant down there regardless because it is a place for potential rust.

Another difference between DC and AC. My AC doesn’t have those.

It looks like debris can find it's way down there. Can you inspect to see? I am curious to see what you find.

Some leaves get down there. I open the hood and use the shop vac when I vacuum the carpets. Also couple times a year pull the rubber back at the bottom of the fender in front of the front doors and stick a crevice tool in there.

I believe on the AC and RC trucks with different front fender and cowl cover the rubber piece is here, and it may be more visible with the hood popped, from the engine bay side. They also use double-sided tape to stick in there, and often get knocked out during windshield replacements from what I've seen others say on here.

And that part on AC/RC trucks looks like this: https://www.tundras.com/threads/mystery-part.36391/

Finally found the damn post explaining it. FML I tried the other day too, and came up empty.

I dunno if DC trucks have that fender-to-cowl seal, but I suspect it should help keeping leaves out of the lower fender, behind the splash guards (mud flaps).

Thanks for the info. If you live in the rust belt I suggest you put some treatment down in that fender crevice area.
