Now that we have some sunny weather in Southern California I’ve been having my moonroof more open.
Just today, with the moonroof all the way opened I hear it moving back and forth about a half an inch when I drive at various speed. Anyone else have that problem?
I’ll have the dealer look at it when I bring it in for the recall.

It's likely that you are hearing the air deflector move. It trims down when you get above 45 mph, and up when you slow down. It took me a bit to figure that out when I first got my Tundra...lol

Wow, driving my PRO today and just noticed this. Beautiful spring day, bluebird sky, had to open the sunroof. Then it made that noise like it was trying to close or something. I was about to call my dealership. Glad I stuck my head in here and found this thread.
Thanks guys. Stay safe, God Bless.

***UPDATE*** Little update on the sunroof/moonroof thing. First let me say I almost NEVER use that thing, but had to try it out again to see about that "self adjusting" feature while driving. Well, now it's making a clicking/popping noise while opening or closing, but not all the time. Sounds like plastic gears skipping. It did it several times the other day, so I closed it and left it alone. Today I washed the truck and after it was dry I started the engine and hit the sunroof button. Not a single sound, other than it's normal sliding sound. I ran that thing back and forth a dozen times, nothing, perfect operation. There is a ton of white grease on the tracks, and it slides like butter. I don't get what's going on, and I hate taking it in right now. Have any of you guys or gals had this experience? Clicking, skipping gear sound? Thanks.
