Bought my 1st Toyota Tundra yesterday. It's a 2006 Double Cab with the 4.7L V8 and 4wd. Truck has 207k miles on it. Paid $8,500 for it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with that.

The timing belt and water pump have been changed twice (last time at 170k miles). The frame looks good. A little rust on 1 spot on the rear driver side of the frame. I believe I can clear that up. Lower ball joints looked recent (and OEM Toyota parts).

Most all maintenance was done at a Toyota dealership. I believe everything is stock except the radio (aftermarket unit with a DVD player).

This truck is replacing my 1997 Dodge Ram. Seems to be a big upgrade over my previous truck.

Truck looks great. Welcome to the forum. Hopefully the PO didn't cut your OEM radio harness, you'll find out if you ever gotta go in there. I'm assuming your truck came with OEM amplifier, and is either JBL or the Fujitsu amp. Can make for a fun retrofit.

You may've already found it, but we all pitched in to build this thread, it may be helpful to you as a new owner. Lots of awesome guys and gals here with lots of love for this iconic generation of pickup!

Thanks for the warm welcome! The PO also upgraded the speakers with "high end units", but I'm not sure what brand. Hopefully harnesses are still intact.

Thanks for the link. I've read over it, but intend on reading it several times. Actually read it before I bought the truck

Not a bad deal, I paid $9,000 for mine and just had to drop $1200 for timing belt. Currently replacing tie rods and upper/lower ball joints. Might sell it soon, neighbor has a 1 owner crew cab hes promising me a deal on lol

Welcome from CA and congrats! Good lookin' truck.

My 1st gen ('00 4.7 TRD 4X4) served me very well for the 6 years I had it.

Sold it it for $10K with 205K miles. Yours is newer, DC, and you paid less, so I'd say ya' done pretty good.

Nice! That's just about 40 miles. Not far at all.

My truck spent it's life in Etown up until 2 years ago.

I’ll be selling it shortly. Currently changing the lower and upper ball joints with oem toyota parts. Can’t sell the truck worried about them falling off on some one.

Def on the market as a srs buyer and obviously would need to figure out the travel logistics if everythings straight.

And most important id need a picture of that frame to get it “shifty`approved” :hattip:

I haven’t figured out to tag on here yet but hopefully he’ll read the thread

Just saying: If @atomicnugget is driving it back up, I'm basically en route(ish), and that cap matches my paint and styling desire, so if it's included in sale, let's just say .... I'd be happy buying your gas (and them some) for the entire drive back if you passed through ATL to drop off the cap. I'm right off the interstate and could meet you just about anywhere along the route....
