After long wait and even longer ordeals with Toyota HQ and dealers the third and i hope the last for now new 2025 Platinum is home.

The first one was 2024 Platinum purchase day 12/08/2023, Assembly 11/03/2023
It was a lemon and after 9.5 month of weekly fights with Toyota HQ it war returned.

I ordered a White Platinum with AVS. after long wait it finally arrived to the dealer 90 miles away from me and now it is finally home.

    Now 2024 vs. 2025:
    1. The obvious, 2025 has massage seats and power tailgate. Really nice, love both!
    2. The interior fit and finish is much, much better, 2025 looks much richer. The 2024 seats sewing were exceptionally bad quality. I was surprised how wrinkled they were, especially the rear ones. Looked like it was made by some rooky in the third word while being highly intoxicated. I even noted it in the Toyota post sales survey.
    3. It seems to me the ride much smoother and quieter.
    4. I'm not sure since it's been more than a year, the setup interface changed and it is much easier to access the options.
    5. The A/C feels stronger. Today we have 90F. The truck was outside and extremely hot.
I turned the A/C on 66F Auto. In less than 2 minutes the air was very cold and in 4-5 minutes it was very pleasant inside. As i remember 2024 took much longer to cool down the interior in such heat.

The AVS is a game changer, i do not regret waiting so long nor extra cost.

So far i installed the bed cover and mud flops and some bed dividers and nets which left from my 2024 and the tailgate safety "devise" .

Used Carista to cancel seatbelt warnings, changing the blinker to 5 times, canceling the 8V motor noise and one button all windows opening to ON.

Provably will add front windows tint and that is it. Otherwise the truck will state stock. So far i think it is perfect. I'm for essential mods doe drivability, safety and usefulness. All other beatifications are not for me

Probably i forgot somethin, probably it is not important or my old age ;)

    Here is some some porn.

Congrats and nice write up on the two builds, you are going to love the WCP it is so forgiving compared to darker colors.
As I was reading your write up you got me thinking about swapping out mine for a 25 Capstone, but then the task of taking off all of my add ons & stuff to put on the new one:monocle:

I may have lucked out on my build, I have had none and I mean absolutely zero nada of the little problems that most have had for the 22~23 builds.

Funny you mentioned the AVS, as I was torn between that and the 3" factory lift, and I choose AVS and couldn't be more than pleased with it.
I wish you all the best with miles and smiles

Oh yes, the worst part they treat you like you are an idiot, but when you push them to the corner, they start ignoring you. It lasted for 9 months until i was able to find personal phone number for the department manager. Then it took 2 weeks to finish it.

I've never in my live had nor considered any other than white.

At the beginning i was considering "capstone" because it had all the options i wanted (HD not so much but not a deal breaker). The deal breaker was the white seats. I hunt, fish, use my truck on my farm, so any light color would be dark in one month. I dont baby my cars. I wash them only when dirt starts falling from the sides, approximately ones in 3 years.
The only thing i'm meticulous, is mechanical condition. Oil/filter every 5K, all the fluids by the book any weird nose gets investigated immediately. A little OCD about it. But at the end it pays off. My cars are in top shape mechanically and pretty bad in outside cleanliness, interior is in OK shape. so, Capstone was not for me:(

We are very similar in all aspects hunting, fishing and mechanically but I wash it every week and the inside is pristine,my OCD will not allow for it to be any other way :D

What’s the deal with the clamp on the tailgate hinge?
