I bought my truck a few years ago, and decided to do an LED hood scoop modification, I wasn't going to pay the thousand bucks for the name brand, so I went cheap and just did it myself. I've had it installed now for almost 2 years , the LED bar is awesome, it's been great. But the hood scoop has given me issues... I had followed a how to on the forums here and had to drill some holes, had to cut a few things out, but got everything fit and mounted and had to use some zip ties and get them real tight so everything was nice and snug, it's still never look like factory, but it was good enough for me. Also had to install a metal aluminum bar, to give something for the zip ties to Mount to, rather than just the plastic... so got it all in but Then I started having issues when I would go around 85 or 90+ that the right gust would pop the Christmas trees out of place but the zip ties would still be holding it in, and that loose fit it would just flop around and potentially damage the paint on The front part of my hood. . . I've been doing a decent job keeping my speeds low enough, that I haven't really had to worry about it. My wife to use my truck today and needless to say the front hood scoop is now cracked on the left and the right, so I'll be buying a new one.... I'm making a post because I want to make sure I don't screw this new one up.. already spending too much time and money on this. I'm just trying to figure out how I can mount this so everything will stay in place regardless of my speed or regardless of the wind speed that day. All ideas are welcomed, I'll answer any questions to the best of my ability, And maybe none of you care, but I'm desperate for help, so worth a shot. Included some pics. Going to be ordering the new scoop tonight.

I curved my piece of aluminum to fit the curve of the hood (took a while) then Gorilla glued the aluminum in place. I have a 40” BD Curved S8 in there. It holds up to 100 I have heard from the testing :spy:

So you curved your aluminum bar, and then gorilla glued it to the front hood piece, then you use the zip ties to secure it to the main hood? Just trying to make sure I understand completely
