Need info on go rhino d6 extreme running boards

Im trying to install new running boards on my 2016 tundra double cab. After installation the boards are tilted up so the doors don't open.I installed these on my 2022 tundra and they were a perfect fit .Is it possible they sent me the wrong brackets? Any help would be appreciated.

 

Call Go Rhino. It sounds like you got the wrong brackets or maybe the whole package is the wrong part number.

 

By design. Can't ding the doors if you can't open them.

 

Totally off topic, but I really like the look of these. I'm assuming since you have put them on 2 different Tundras, you like them and are satisfied with the quality???

Any preference over standard or wide?

Did you try loosening the bolts in the board mount and see if they would angle down?
There is a lot of play in that bracket.
Mine had a slight tilt down.

BTW they are for sale in the marketplace forum.

 

Mine don't look like yours.Mine are angled on both ends.Yours are square in the front."m pretty sure they sent me a set for a crewman.I guess I'll find out tomorrow. I also have a 2022 tundra that I put the same running boards on and they fit perfect.With the set for the 2016 they tilted so much the doors won't open.

Maybe they gave you the wrong brackets or steps..

I just noticed mine are D1 steps, yours are D6.
But the brackets look a little longer than yours..



They sent me the same brackets they sent you for my DC.

 

well all I know is the running boards are tilted up so high the doors won't open.I emailed real truck where I bought them but haven't heard back yet.Is it possible someone labeled the bracket box wrong.This is the first time something like this has happened.I installed running boards on all my trucks for 20 years.

 

I think mine are standard.they have been on the other truck for 2 1/2 years and still look good, thats why I bought them for my 2016.The 2022 does stay in the garage tho
