My '13 CrewMax was at the shop....and the mechanic told me one of my rear shocks is leaking. The truck has 133k on the clock, so I'm not surprised. It currently has OEM shocks on it.....should I just go ahead and replace with those....or go with something different? The ride in the truck is fine with OEM...no complaints there. While I'm at it....should I replace the fronts as well?

My apologies is this has been asked before

133k on originals seems like you got great life out of them. Rears are an easy thing to change if you have the basic tools. Might be worth buying a new set for the front too.

Ditto^. There are so many aftermarket options. Might as well stick with OEM shocks. If you want to try something else, a lot of folks go with Bilstein 5100's for the front and rear which won't break the bank.

My 2018 has Bilsteins from the factory. I believe 4600 are for stock height and 5100 for lifted.

5100's can be used as an upgrade over OEM shocks and for lifted applications too.

I have a pair of rear shocks you can have. I took them off my 19 trd off road limited crew max. I took them off at 38k miles. Just pay for shipping of course, I’m in El Paso 79912

Both my rear shocks were blown at 200K. Replaced them with some 4600’s and it’s such a smoother ride now, my wife doesn’t mind riding in it now. Got mine from Amazon during one of their Amazon Days and save 40%. I think They have another one coming up in a couple of weeks. I like the fact that they finally started including the rubber bushings.

I replaced shocks on my 2013 SR5 Rock Warrior at 95K miles. OEMs were Bilstein. I chose Fox coil over fronts and Fox basic rear shocks. Neither of these were the high performance versions with external reservoirs. The ride quality up front definitely is better with the Fox coil overs. I don't do hard core off roading. Main use for my Tundra is taking my KTM dirt bike to interesting places to ride. I use the KTM for hard core off road stuff.

I also replaced the OEM leaf springs with some custom ones from Alcan Springs in Colorado. The OEMs were overloaded by my idiot son-in-law and had to be replaced. I will say the Alcans were worth every penny. My truck rides better than when it was new with the Fox suspension and Alcan springs. At this point, I feel no need to upgrade to a newer Tundra.

I replaced my OEM's around 90k miles when I lifted the truck.

I went with the Bilstein 6112/5160's. Great shocks, the Bilstein 5100's are a very good cost effective alternative. If you are somewhat handy, you can replace them yourself.
