So there is this guy at work, and when we get together at work or the bus ride to our on-track work equipment the discussions are either his gunsmithing or golf, and he is an avid player and I find myself occasionally watching golf every now and then, I have played yeeeeears ago with my BIL when I was in highschool, by no means am I any good, but I figured take something up to get me out and moving around, so this co-worker tells me that he has a set of clubs that he would like to pass onto, I just pay $25 for the new grips he put on, I'll be taking the offer up this coming week and going to the range and he's gonna help me out and tips n pointers and lingo, so anyone on here a golf enthusiast???

    Enjoy it!!

a great way to spend some time outdoors on typically nice places.

I’m going to share the two best golf tips / advice and likely the only you will need if you can master them:

    1. swing slow

    2. play fast

You can make gas golf carts double their speed with a zip tie.

Love golf. Last name is Mulligan, so I legally have to play golf. ;)

My advice is to take some lessons. Every couple of weeks with the same pro can really help. Especially if you are new. It’s an easy sport, but a hard game to play well.

The alternate to above advice is to set no expectations, swing away and have a great time with your buddies. If you get frustrated then take my advice above or remember that PGA pros practice every day, have swing and putting coaches, have mental coaches, spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on these support people. What you don’t see when watching a tourney on TV is how much the pros screw up. Look up “Dustin Johnson tops drive” from the Open Championship last week Happens to the best of them. As the announcer said, “well this is just a hard game.” Dustin laughed because it happens.

Have fun and use my last name at any time while playing!!
