    Hey all,

2002 4.7 2UZ-FE. I'm finishing up my timing belt and water pump change and realized I didn't receive the rectangular water pump inlet gasket. This apparently didn't come with my Aisin kit but does come with others. I'm searching high and low and just cannot find that by itself. Everything I find is not really the same and not quite a rectangular. Would anyone know that OEM part number or where to find by itself? Searches on Rockauto, Amazon, Advance, etc. are coming up with the incorrect shaped gasket. Also can't find any complete parts diagrams. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I don't see it on here. You may have to call the parts department as their diagrams will have more info.

I think that FelPro just might do it if available. Strange how Advance says its correct but Autozone and other online vehicle selectors say not-compatible. I'll check with Toyota dealer and Advance tomorrow. Thanks man.

Just double checking if anyone knows if Toyota made a gasket for this location. The link posted above for the 2004 does not seem to apply to my year, a 2002. Below is a parts pic for the 2002 and they do not show a gasket - basically the rectangle where the item 5 points to (water pump). The Felpro 35552 looks to be the only aftermarket one I've found.
Should I just use the FIPG and not involve any paper gaskets? Thanks much!

You and I have the same engine, it should apply.

Click on some of the diagrams and you'll find this one:

Just posting a follow-up on this. I completed the job with FIPG as the 16355A part is incorrect, confirmed at dealership, and looks to be for the rear of the block. After cleaning up my old timing belt parts, I found this nice little note in the AISIN box that could have saved me the hunting around, Thanks All!
