Anyone else give this a shot?

So my little guy had a baby tooth that was ready to go. We decided to give the Nerf Gun method we watched on youtube a try and it worked!

For those that have little ones with baby teeth ready to go, you may want to give it a try.

He was so excited and it didn't hurt him either.

I tied dental floss to the end of a Nerf dart, made a slip knot onto his tooth, and viola.

It took a few times, we determined the shorter the floss the better.

That's awesome. I don't have any bows, but the same concept. I like that the kids can do it.

Like the good dad that I am, I talked my son into using his remote controlled tank one time.

We do have some Traxxas monster trucks that have some serious weight/power/speed.... Maybe we'll try that for the next one!

Fawk dat! My old man did that to me as a kid, door stopped dead, tooth stayed put, with a VERY slight increase in discomfort.

Our kids have had the advantage of letting their teeth fall out without outside influences, and for anyone that disagrees with the idea, I’ll gadly test their own method on them first.

I need to rephrase what my post above said.... the kids figured out I was having fun shooting them.

I liked playing with the nerf guns too

I know what you mean. Last week he was asking me to pull it but it wasn't ready.

Today his tooth was hanging on by a thread. He was having a hard time eating with it flopping around and was excited to try the Nerf gun thing. In my opinion the force of a Nerf dart is not enough to yank it if it wasn't ready and/or cause a lot of pain.

I can agree with that, wasn’t trying to critisize you for how you did it. The floss / door knob thing just brought back a terrible memory. LOL

There's a YouTube video of a dad helping his son pull a tooth with about 20 feet of floss and a model rocket. Makes me laugh every time I watch it lol.

Oh yeah! More pull than a door that’s for sure! Just add about 15 feet of floss so you can get up to speed! LOL

    It works.....really does LOL

Mine was a radio shack RC car....that thing had some serious get up and go. Baby teeth had no chance!
