On 01/02/2021, I purchased a magnetic grey metallic 2021 SR5 Crew Max 4x4 with the Convenience-extra value package, 18" 5-spoke alloy wheel upgrade, all-weather-floor liners w/ door sills, and 50-states emissions, and then added a dealer-installed aftermarket moonroof. I love this truck, but it definitely needs upgrades. Thankfully there are options, and this forum looks to be a great resource.

I also own a 2007 and 2017 Nissan Titan, both of which my college-aged sons are driving. I've purchased all three trucks brand new. This Tundra is missing a lot of nice features that my 2017 Nissan Titan has, like a middle front-bumper parking sensor (Tundra only has front side sensors), keyless entry, push start ignition, interior bed lights, map light, and extra cup holders. I'm also at a loss as to why Toyota didn't install a driver's side convenience handle to pull yourself up when entering! I plan to do upgrades, so those should be minor and temporary shortcomings. Super stable ride and the intelligent radar cruise control is a huge bonus that makes driving so much easier. Glad to be part of this forum. A great resource for Tundra owners.

How has your 2017 Titan been? I’m thinking about a new XD because I need more payload but don’t want a domestic HD.

@gdiep - Here's a pict. of my '17 Titan SV. It's 1/2 ton, not an XD. It also helps to understand that my 3 trucks are pavement princesses, so I'm not the best one to ask. I have preferred premium all-season tires for their silky-smooth ride. I have not gone off-roading, and haven’t hauled more than light trailers. I take a couple of trips to the Colorado Rockies each year and want the most comfortable ride possible, and in a truck capable of dominating snowy/icy mountain passes.

My '07 Titan lost some responsiveness and comfort after I lifted it and added larger more aggressive wheels/tires, but replacing and upgrading the rest of the suspension tightened the ride back up and gave it more off-road capability. My two Titans have been the most solid and reliable vehicles of the 12+ vehicles that I’ve owned. The '17 has the Technology package, is luxurious (even at the SV level), and extremely comfortable. Neither Titan has needed significant repairs. I think the zero-gravity captain seats in the new generation Titans are one of the top features to enjoy. Super comfy ride.
