New Hood style

Looks like there is another aftermarket hood out for the Gen3. I would enjoy a new hood or have my TRD hood worked on. Removing the cool drama style vent.

Looks pretty sweet but I bet the quality sucks at that price.

Would look better without the center hood scoop. Louvres are fine.

 

The scoop grill design need work but it would be neat to do with a set of wide fenders and bedsides.....

For a 1st generation prototype body panel for a 3rd Gen (problems with fitment) coming from overseas Tariff fees,S&H fees and for that price they can lick my balloon knot

 

And you still need to get it painted.

 

Since we are already over the top why not just get in Carbon fiber

 

It would almost be worth it just to eliminate the annoying hood glare from the OEM design.

 

Be a shame to cover up any carbon with paint. Embrace the two tone.

 

See I disagree. If you paint it you can leave some tasty carbon fiber accents. Did this with my Ducati back in the day.

I got it painted and left the center vents matte clear.

Not yet. I had to leave my truck in HB and fly back home. I’ll be back maybe end of next week to pick it up.

 

No way damn, hey it's going to be 100% tho so worth it. I'll start on the front next month; I am going to have a body shop touch it up and install them then bumper. Hopefully they don't take too long.

 

Yeah, bedsides are a lot more complicated to install and ran into some issues with getting them fitted.

How's the dust and rain with the air dam? Does it get plenty of rain in the bay?

I have noticed anything different with rain and engine bay is still clean. Only thing is when it gets hot you can see the heat coming out the vent. Gives a little of that heat mirage effect, when you are stopped at a red light.

 

Interesting on the heat. Very tempted on getting that hood. Working on roadway project kinda turns me away with lot of dust we have. But dame does it look good more so without thosedam iem fake vents caps.

 

Even doing Will-call goes up to $800. They add a $40 Will-call processing fee. Id be game at $585 but not at $800

 

I live in a city that is always windy, no issues.
