So my original leaf springs are sagging a bit and don’t hold much weight without really squatting. Do you guys suggest going with a heavy duty leaf pack or adding a superspring . Cost is about the same but supersprings even advertises to use them for worn out leaf packs.

These are the heavy duty springs I was looking at.

I recently installed the heavy duty springs from ATS Spring in Pennsylvania. The part number was 90-221HD. I have a 2WD, but the 4WD springs that I got fit fine (and were cheaper than the 2WD version they offered). Pretty easy install and they ride fantastic. I have a shell and heavy wood sleeping platform in the bed at all times, so probably constant 300lbs. I haven't driven with these springs on an empty bed, so I can't comment on the ride quality there. These lifted the rear roughly 1.5-2 inches.

I had contemplated ordering add-a-leafs, or trying to make my own "bastard" pack. In the end I decided I'd rather spend the money now and do the job right than kick the can down the road.

Overall I'm extremely happy with these springs and would recommend them to anyone. They ride great and I feel like I'm driving a proper truck now, not one with a clapped out saggy rear end. Their customer service is very friendly and knowledgeable. Let me know if you have any specific questions about them.

Wait, hold the phone. The 4WD springs fit the 2WD trucks? Sheeeeit. Ima order me some cheaper springs then. Thanks. One of my springs is tired and needs to be replaced. Looks like the left/right 4WD springs are only $135/each. Noice.

Thanks for the info. That’s about what I have too for weight in the truck constantly ( about 300lbs). But I load about another 600lbs about 2 times a week. They look like a great option. Price looks good too

I can't speak for the non-HD springs, but I confirmed with ATS that the 4WD HD springs fit my 2WD beforehand. One difference is that the HD springs are not side dependent, while the regular non-HD springs are specific to each side of the truck. Not sure if that changes anything but something to be aware of.

I recommend calling ATS Springs directly, their customer service is extremely knowledgeable and patient. They worked with me for over a week helping me make my purchase.

Good idea. Will want to double check they'll fit before ordering them and finding they won't.
