    Hey fam!

My father-in-law just gifted us his old work truck. It's a 2006 double cab, Lucchese edition (#3) with 241,000 miles. She purrs and runs strong. The exterior shows character and the interior is in excellent condition, only really showing sins of wear on the driver side seat and steering wheel. So much great info and people on these forums and I'm excited to be here

    Existing mods:
    1. Method wheels w 33" tries
    2. Tonneau cover
    3. Mangaflow muffler
    4. New headlights
    5. Weathertech floor mats
    6. Alpine head w/ bluetooth microphone and backup cam
    7. Upgraded speakers
    8. Mounted fire extinguisher

    Repairs completed:
    1. OEM LBJ's
    2. Moog LCA's
    3. Parking break adjustment

    Repairs needed:
    1. CV boots leaking grease
    2. Serpentine belt

Is it the Lucchese the one that has the ostrich+leather interior? I forget.

Anyway, welcome to the forum. If you're new to the truck, may be worthwhile to read this if not already done. It may tip you off to stuff you should do, and things you should never do.

Isn't the Lucchese family notorious for something other than trucks? It's kind like having an Al Capone edition...

Don't know if it's true but the story goes that they are brothers. One went into the Mafia up north and the other went south to make boots. So, you're not far off the mark.

    Yes. Ostrich on the inside.

And iirc, it was mainly a TX thing. The one other on the forum(that I remember) was down in Midland/Odessa.

I'm just stoked to see more TX folk. Two newbies in less than a week. And one is even in your neck of the woods. Crazy.

Yeah, I remember running across a couple over the years, it's a special package from the regional Gulf States Toyota entity, and I want to say it was limited edition, like 500 or a 1000 or something.

One landed up my way at some point. TX transplant. But it was a DC, and I refuse to drive with an inferior cab configuration.

Thanks for the welcomes! I thought the two-tone was very grandpa-esque, but it’s really grown on me. Here are some quick interior photos:

Love it! And that answers the question, it is limited edition of 500. And you got 3 of 500. Nice! Unless they got better at it once they got up in the 300s/400s

I dig that ostrich. Makes me want to do some alligator or something in my truck. I don't know any charcoal grey gators though.

Very nice interior! I would get something to protect your leather from the hard plastic of that car seat base. It WILL get scratched up if you don't.
