    Hi...

Looking for lots of help here. Just purchased not just my first Tundra, but my first ever Toyota. 2004 4x2 4.7 V8, access cab. 170,000 miles.

Overall, it's in really good condition. I've been waiting quite a while to find one this nice and finally found it. It needs a few upgrades or improvements, such as new headlights that are badly oxidized, etc.

Is there a "go to" parts dealer that is recommended? That's my main question for now.

    Appreciate the help.

Welcome aboard. Is that really dark blue? Or the “Blurple” color? Looks nice in the sun. Truck appears to be in great shape. OEM parts can be procured online from your local dealer or from places like Sparks Toyota that occasionally run specials like 20% off or free shipping. I bought new headlights on Amazon for $65. Look nice. Reflector quality is questionable and the adjustment hardware kinda sucked. I swapped the OEM hardware over and that helped. They’ve lasted about 5 years and they are starting to fade too.

Thanks. The color in the pics is fairly accurate. I guess you can say there is a bit of purple mixed into the blue. It's obviously been painted, but they did a very nice job. I don't see any evidence of body damage, but not sure. But for what I need it for, I don't care too much about that. The interior is in great shape also.

I've been looking at Amazon, etc. for headlights... prices seem reasonable. I'm hoping to make room in the garage to park it. I hate leaving cars (trucks) out in the sun. We get lots here in San Diego. Thanks for getting back to me.

Welcome and greetings from Minnesota. Those headlights can be polished to clear again with a bit of polish and a random orbit polisher. Nice looking truck.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I've tried the lens polishing in the past with fairly decent results. I guess I should at least try that before spending the money.

I have a few other things that I need parts for and I was wondering if there was a preferred parts store that is recommended. Thanks again.

Definitely check out this place. :D

Also, you can definitely polish those lights and they will be back to like new, assuming there isn't any damage to them other than the yellowing. However, about 6 months after that, they'll yellow again. If you can find a body shop willing to spray them with clear coat after you polish them, they will stay looking like new.

Wax will keep the lenses from oxidizing too. Apply every three months or so.
