    A 60 k tundra will soon be 75 k. With a 5 k down payment the 60 month is about 1320 a month. Toyota is screwed.

Banks will just offer longer term loans. Auto loans used to be 36-48 months, then 60 and have now climbed to 84 months. Give it a couple of years and you will start see 96 month loans. The only people who ever seem to profit are the banking institutions...

Yep, San Antonio. With a mix of domestic and imported parts.

    A few facts.

    1. Toyota is the world's largest auto manufacture.
    2. Toyota's US sales represent 21% of their total global sales.
    3. Roughly 50% of Toyota's sales in the US are imported.
    4. So, approximately 10.5% of Toyota's global sales will be subject to tariffs.

    Toyota will be fine.

$75k plus is HD money, youd have to be a special kinda person to get a tundra over something much more capable. im pretty broke and I have terrible credit, TFS had me at $720/month for 72 months. a 2020 in 2024 wouldve cost me $51k+. WILD!!
they told me they do everything in their power to keep it under 1k/month and can go as far out as 84 months.

Is hand wringing an acceptable alternative to pearl clutching? I don't own any pearls.

Pearl clutching is different usually for disdain and fake horror over some action. The europeans have perfected it lol

I don’t think Toyota will raise the price of the tundra too much as it’s mostly made here in the US. It’s actually one of the most American made full size trucks. The tundra has 50% US/Canada parts, 25% Japanese, and 15% from Mexico. Maybe on the parts content from Japan and Mexico we’ll see a 25% tariff? I’m not sure. Too early to tell. IMG_1532.jpg

Should be a good time to invest in banks and sub-prime auto lenders.

Used prices increase as New prices do usually. Probably a multiplier this time around cuz who will be able to afford some of the prices mentioned above with all the layoffs - hmmm.

Tough times in the Land of Plenty.

yeah, i saw this coming. that's why i bought my tundra 3 weeks ago. got a good deal on the price (but not a great deal), a little less in trade than i wanted ($500), and 2.99% for 6 years. will do like i've always done and pay it off early, but i like having the option to make a lower payment should the need arise.

Toyota just announced they plan to keep prices the same for the time being. With prices the same they only expect an 8% reduction in yearly profits - not bad.

So take a Deep breath and shop leisurely.

Yeah - I heard the same - holding prices flat and taking it out of the bottom line.
