Might want to look at these, I just ordered a set to replace my OEM Michelins that are developing sidewall cracking after exactly 6 years and 41K miles. I want LT rated tires as I pull a 6500# Artic Fox trailer and some driving on rocky roads to get to my favorite fishing spots.

$251 delivered for 275/65-18 in LT (120/123). Rated #1 of 34 by TireRack. Only place I found them to look at in person was Les Schwab, they were at $340 mounted. Not willing to price match. They look pretty good in person, 1/2 of tread depth and siped. Vredestein has been making tires for over 100 years in European market, I’ve run them on sports cars and very pleased with them. This is their first venture into North American market. Also make a highway tread.

Did you end up trying them? If so what do you think?

I did, and really pleased. Very quiet on all surfaces, they do give a firmer ride, to be expected, going from a 116 rating to a 121(6-ply to 10?). Did do a few miles in the Sierra on packed snow and icy slush, much better than the OEM Michelins.
