I see people say their dealer will re use the OEM TPMS sensors. My understanding is the sensor and valve stem are a one piece unit.
I’m assuming they’ll simply swap the entire unit from the OEM wheels to the new ones I’m having them mount and balance?

    You are correct.

If they fit, there are wheels that require different stems. But I doubt you bought that with this discussion.

Awesome, that’s makes things easy. Just making sure I didn’t need to buy valve stems or something.

    Lots of stuff!
My tire shop took the ones out of my OE wheels and put them into my new wheels. I guess the issue is using aftermarket sensors sometimes don't work and you get TPMS errors lighting up the dash.

Yeah I don’t want all that. I’m perfectly happy with them re using the OEM valve stems and sensors.
