Nightshade Tundras..

I don't think i'm the only one out there but is anybody else waiting on Toyota to do the Nightshade Tundras again?? I loved the concept of it on the previous generation and am hoping that it will carry on over to the current generation.

 

I dont think they are going that route. Want it blacked out? Platinum it is.

The seemed to kill the nightshade option on a few vehicles. My 2019 4runner is a nightshade but the current models dont have that as an option anymore.

 

platinum is too damn expensive imo. it also has a few pieces that aren’t 100% color matched.

 

I just saw an SR5, loaded for darn near $62000. But I will say if your looking for comfort Plat is the way to go!!!

 

I think they hold off on the nightshade additions until a couple years into a design run. I don't think any of the new designs have nightshade editions yet.

 

A TRD sport is fully color matched right from the factory if you want a cheaper truck than a platinum.

 

i was looking at TRD Sport's.. however its based off an SR5 interior which doesn't float everybody's boat.

 

that's what i was thinking too. it took them awhile before it was available on the previous generation.

Im getting a platinum and its out as we speak prior to delivery getting everything color matched, stash, flares, rear spoiler, etc.

 

don't forget that cost doesn't include any labor if applicable.. lol

 

Yup. I paid that plus some. My 22 SR5 4x4 OR loaded war msrp over 63k. Only thing available in Miami back in September. But I’ll tell you what, I didn’t think I’d want all those bells and whistles but I’m glad I got them. In my opinion the trailer backup and all the cameras were more important to me than leather seats. (Glad I don’t have them).

I moved to Toyota from a 2003 Silverado that finally died from a slipping transmission. This tundra is light years ahead of the old truck. I haven’t had an issue with this one and am hoping I can hold onto it for a while. So hopefully the saying you get what you pay for is true.

I doubt that, in the past nightshade was put on to sr5’s. A nightshade limited would be a tuned down platinum and they would sell less platinums, where they make a bunch of money…

 

this , they are usually pretty low trim levels

the platinum is already pretty much a nightshade , I don’t have any chrome

 

Nightshade was never available on lower trims across any models XD
they were only offered on Tacoma Limited, 4Runner Limited and Tundra Limited.

 

I agree on this. I think some are thinking about the SX appearance package, that includes some black bits, color matched and deleted stuff, available on sr5’s.

That sounds more correct, the SX package was available on SR5 trim levels lol.

 

Nightshade would have saved me alot of the time, money, and effort I went thru to chrome delete my 23 limited!

 

I'm new toyota and never heard of this edition my apologies for the ignorance but is this kinda like the dodge night runner edition where it's all blacked out?

I would have bought a limited nightshade since the OR pkg can’t be had on a Platinum.

Oh well. i don’t hate the brushed aluminum. It’s the chrome on the windows that I really don’t care for and I’m thinking of dulling those out.


For me, it’s not about the cost of doing the chrome delete. I just don’t want to mess with plastic pieces if I don’t need to. I don’t think they re-install as tight as from factory.

i wish I could have bought a silver truck which makes the chrome pieces blend in more. But I do love MGM and it was the color that was available that had the configuration I really wanted.

yes the Nightshade package is comparable to Ram’s “Night Edtion” and or Ford’s “Black Appearance Package” etc…

Soooooo update ,, the Canadian was right !!! Night shade limited ,, 2024 ,,I ordered a limited hybrid in Aug of 22 and finally got a deliver date of mid Oct 23 ,, production model limited hybrid 2024 ,,
