Well, I'm excited. I'm almost done with this stage of the lighting additions for the Smurf Master:

41" 19K Lm, 200w Nilight light bar in the hood bulge.
20" 42K Lm, 420w Nilight light bar on bumper bar.
6-Gang Nilight Switch Panel in front of shifter in console.

Will need to get and install some Ditch lights, and brighter back up lights.

I had to get a little creative on the hood bulge. I had to shave down the back of the bracket holding the upper push pins on the ends quite a bit, but when all was said and done, there isn't any place where it's pushing out, and all the push pins locked back into place. My only concern is the slight gap in front, since to light is not curved.

Nice this is exactly what I'm wanting for my 14 Tundra. Currently only have the nilight gang switch and trail lights but will add the light bars next once I sell a few items to fund them

1 year update : After 2 new hood bulges that I had to modify to fit around the light, I've removed the 41 inch light. Sadly a light this long requires that both of far end mount brackets on the bulge have to be broken off. This leaves only 3 mount brackets and the ends are not curved with the hood and flop a little. I moved to the coast where there is plenty of wind on the highway and now twice an 18-wheeler has passed me going the opposite way and the wind destroyed the floppy bulge.

So I'm not looking for another solution. Either a nice bar mounted on the front of the truck (where) or a smaller bar that doesn't require me to modify the bulge.

Think it would be possible to mount 2 short bars in there at outer ends of bulge? Like 12" bars maybe. I havent looked to see what structure is like for mounting there.

Yes in fact, I'm planning to put a 37 inch bar in there. That should keep me from having to hack the bulge ends.

I changed my mind and opted to put the hood bulge back to normal. I've bought several and done with the bulge. Instead I've decided to put a 42 in that little opening above the license plate. This is the lightbar I've ordered

Amazon.com: Rigidhorse 42 Inch Curved LED Light Bar, 300W Super Bright Flood & Spot Beam Combo - 52000LM Off Road Driving Single Row Light Bars for Trucks for Jeep Trucks Boats ATV UTV Cars : Automotive

I've opened up the front end to see if my current straight lightbar would work but even though the front of the truck is slightly curved, the bumper behind the front is well curved. So I'm waiting on this to come in Friday. It should be curved enough to fit perfect.

I also installed CHEAP ditch lights. I mean they were 15 bucks. And if you get these, have 15 dollar expectations

The mounting brackets are amazing and I'm going to replace the cheap lights with nice ones when the budget allows.

The ditch lights were super easy to put in because I used the wiring which I put in previously for the bulge lights.

Ok so I said I would post once I got the new light bar installed.

Waiting for the sun to go down and give it the real test. Mainly just to ensure the aiming is correct. It was bright even in the daylight and I think I'll be very happy with it.

The difficult side is the bumper it is mounted on. It is nearly impossible to put a bolt/nut on because the bumper is mostly enclosed. You can see a few holes but how to get a nut over there and secured is a big challenge. Drilling straight down on the light mounts is also a challenge without removing a lot more items. So I opted for self-tapping screws and they are at a very slight angle. However, that bumper is pretty thick so I don't expect any issues for the mounts becoming loose. If that does happen then I'll remove everything and drill hole from top to bottom of the bumper and install long bolts.

I think it looks fine and if it lights up those Ferrel hogs then I'm happy.

Did you trim the bulge insert openings?

Yep and I had no problem with the bulge light until I moved down near the coast where the wind is high. With the light installed in the bulge it requires to cut off the two end mounts on the bulge (41 inch light). This leaves only 3 of those amazing little plastic clips on the top of the bulge. Then when an 18-wheeler passes me and that massive wind slams into the front of my truck my hood bulge explodes. After 3 of them I decided to forget the bulge light and install the one lower by the plate. Now I have NO issues when those big trucks slam me.

Yeah that would frustrate me too. How did you trim the openings square like that? I have the S8 in mine and the screen blocks some of the light. I used the screen because I didn't like the gap once the bar was installed. I don't mind cutting the openings to see if I like it because I do have a spare bulge to revert back to.

I took her out for a night drive.

OMG that 86 Dollar curved LED bar is BRIGHT!!!!! This light is much better than the bar in the bulge.
