Anyone on here who have owned that tire could you kindly chime in this thread with your experiences please?
    TIA!

I had them once. Very quiet on the road. Took them to the snow, traction was fine, didn't slip or anything. Tread did not last long for me, but then again I was driving like a mad man on the streets. I've since slowed down as tires got more expensive :(

I ran two sets on my Tacoma. Got 50,000+ miles on first set by rotating every oil change.

Tire performed great for me, but I never really put it to the test. In the snow it did great. Very quite for an MT as Cruzer said.

I’m running the Toyo Open Countries now, but would consider these next time for the Tundra.

Only issue I ever had, as I see with my Toyo’s as well is cracking between the treads.

I had some on my FJ cruiser for over 80k miles (5 tire rotation with the spare). They were amazing tires and I'm not really sure, other than weight, why I am not running them now. I have Ridge Grapplers on at the moment which are only 2 lbs lighter based on their website specs. I got more compliments with those Trail Grapplers than any other tire I have owned.

My memory is shit but I'm pretty sure while I felt the lugs of the Trails more than the Ridge, the humming of the Ridge grapplers is just as loud, especially as they have worn down.

Hell... I am shopping new tires now, I might have just sold myself lol.

I guess one knock could be the fact that are are nearly 400 a tire in 295/70/18... but even the cheap brands are passing 350 each in that size.

Keep your pressures set right and rotate often or you will hate them in a hurry. When new they are quiet; worn unevenly they're obnoxious. I let mine run low on my Tacoma during a very cold and snowy winter in northern/upstate New York. 15,000 miles later the side lugs cupped beyond return and they were stupid loud and vibrated at slow speeds. For the last 10,000 miles of their life I pumped them up tighter than normal just to get them to roll somewhat quieter. Finally threw them away after about 50,000 and went to the Terra Grapplers.

Off-road they're incredible, but way more aggressive than what I needed in all honesty given the 25k plus highway miles I drove each year.

I'm not sure about the Tera Grapplers, but when I had my Ram 3500, Dura Grapplers were hands down the best tire I ever ran!

I'm looking at Dura Grapplers next because I'm on pavement 99.9% of the time. What did you like about them? Were they quiet? Did they handle gravel, snow, and rain well?

Ridge Grapplers are a nice mix between the terra/dura grappler and the trail grappler. I am on my third set of ridge grapplers. My first tundra was an 07 dc that I put G2 terra grapplers on….. got 64k miles out of them rotating every oil change (6k) went to a ridge grappler in same size…. They had 55k miles on them when I traded the truck off and still had wear left in them…..this truck was on pavement mostly with occasional hunting and field roads they performed great….I then put a set on a 2007 Jeep JK 4 door wrangler that was a daily driver but spent about every weekend at off-road parks within driving distance of me….. they performed great when aired down in the sand, rocks, and mud…. Also performed well on the snowy roads in the winter…. I got 65k miles out of them on the Jeep…… now I am in a 2016 tundra and have a set of them on now that have 24k miles on them and they still look new….. hope this helps

    They were very quiet.
They ballanced better than any tire I've used.
They worked very well in the dirt. I was a H&S guy working on Hazmat clean ups on Military bases. Almost all out sites were off road and theses did great.
I was running Load Range E, 285/70R17 on Hummer rims.
I did contact Nitto when they came out with the newer gen tires and asked about the rubber compounds, as the Duras rolled many a mile and just kept going. Nitto said the newer tread of the hiway/off road tire was softer.

I recently picked up some 18" rims for the Tundra, and when it comes time, I hope to go back to the Duras.
