Hey folks, is my truck sitting normally or is the front to rear height difference too much?

I know that my front end is supposed to be slightly lower than my rear but I'd love more opinions on if my truck's front rake is normal or if it's a more pronounced height difference. This truck is new to me with 180k miles, and if the height difference is bad I'll just replace the suspension with stock. Or something budget-friendly and issue free. Any suggestions? I probably can't afford bilsteins or some of the other popular suspension upgrades.

Yes I know about the rusty scratch, yes I know the paint is shit. It's all money dependent.

Your front lower shock bushings could be shot if your shocks are old. Mine definitely are. My truck sits almost like yours. Although after my recent recall frame swap it's sitting up higher front and rear for whatever reason. Bilstien 5100s or similar are on my list. Just want mine to sit level really.
Spacer lifts are cheap but theres a reason for that. A lot of people say they ride like garbage with spacer lifts but I can't say first hand.

Picks of the suspension to see what we are working with would help. The rake appears factory, or maybe a little high in the back? Also, I have a set of daystar front strut spacers that lift about 2". Free to a good home.

How hard is it to change out shock bushings? My knowledge of suspensions is zero...

    Pics inbound of the suspension.
I'm definitely interested in the spacers! However people have said they don't "ride" well. What does that mean, like a stiffer ride? Any reason you're not using them yourself? Just curious!

I believe it's possible and some people on here have found them for sale online for the factory bilstiens (if you have them) as well. Usually though if the bushings are worn out the shocks usually are too. New shocks have new bushings.

Hmm yeah... That bushing is not holding the bolt in the direct center of the circle. I gotcha. Guess I'll replace that.
Where does one reattach the sway bar?
I'm officially spooked about this suspension haha.

Your lower shock bushing is wore out. Your sway bar bushing is broken in two.
I took the spacers off after I bought the 5100 Billy's, it rode just fine with them on my factory shocks.

make the top one look like the bottom one. You’ll need a new link, but might as well do all the sway bar bushings while you’re in there.

and why is your driver side cv boot so juicy?

Thank you Sirfive. I'll look into buying a new link and sway bar bushings.
I think I juiced the CV boot, lightly covered with oil from when I was doing something else. The rubber doesn't feel dry or stiff or anything bad, I think...

Now that you mention it it kinda looks like spacers huh? I don't know what I'm looking at. Hope someone can provide insight.

    1) Does anything else look off about my suspension other than the shock and sway bar bushings and sway bar links?
    2) How difficult is it to replace these parts? Should I have a shop do it?
    3) What kind of shocks are these? I didn't know they are unusual.
    4) Is this vehicle safe to drive for now?

1)Hows the tire wear look? Any pulling to one side? Since the bottom of the knuckles look fresh, are the lower ball joints fresh? Have you done a wheel bearing wiggle test?
    2) how much experience do you have with a wrench? Might have to get creative to replace shock bushings, i dont know how hard they are to press in or out.
    4) worn shock bushings arent too dangerous. As long as the broken sway bar link doesnt grab anything, i wouldnt call it safe, but i wouldnt consider it too dangerous.

    +1 on Sirfive.
The shocks are stock height and a normal setup for that style. Probably a Monroe, Gabriel or similar brand. Some brands use a rubber seat like that to accommodate for the shape of the spring while others have a "bent" metal seat for the spring to rest upon.

    1) Tire wear looks fine for now, no pulling to one side. LBJ's are freshly done at dealer on recall. I have not done a wheel bearing wiggle test, don't know what that is...
    2) I have moderate experience with a wrench. I can't do stuff that requires press tools or torches though. I can probably change out the sway bar links myself but beyond that, if the bushings are difficult to press in/out then my hands are tied.
    4) Thanks. I'm going to keep driving this vehicle until the new links show up in the mail and replace them.

I haven't noticed any excessive body roll but that's probably because I just don't know better with these trucks.

with the front jacked up, grab the top and bottom of the tire, and wiggle. Shouldnt have any noticable play. The tie rod wiggle is the same, just grab the front and back of the tire, sometimes it helps to check that with one side jacked up at a time, or with blocks under the side you’re not checking.
