    Hello everyone,

Want to post something that happened to my tundra recently, drove crazy for a few days and was here trying to see if anyone else had the same problem, and found a few but at the end no one post the solution.

My 08 tundra, all of the sudden nothing inside work, when I say nothing I mean nothing, no a/c, no radio, no speedometer, no watch, no shifter, 4x4 don’t engage, try to read any codes and obd did not have power, nothing work, no PW, no lights only head lights, nothing at all. It crank and ran like always, like a brand new one even though it has 420,000.

After a long few days taking the dash apart, checking all fuses up and down, unplug the battery and put it to charge on a charger that I have, spend hours on this forrum and other sites on the web could not find the solution even though found many others struggling with the same thing but no one could post at the end the solutions.

Anyway, after taking many things out and spend many hours in it, decided the take the fuse box on the engine compartment out and saw that the main fuse, the big one has many bridge or fuses (if I can call it that way) inside of that big fuse, after taking it out and looking inside of it, noticed one of the bridges inside was blown. For those that don’t quite understand, that big main fuse has many small fuses inside, one of them was blown, that one that was blown conect to the rest of the other separate fuses on the rest of the fuse box, (no wonder nothing worked)

Anyway, went to the Toyota dealer and bought a new one. On my way back home to install it, will get back to you all to let you know how it went.

    Hello again:

So, came back home and installed the new BIG fuse, I guess you can call it the main fuse. Put it all back together, install the recharge battery, it work awesome, everything came back to life. Drove it to Laredo tx and back to Houston tx and ran as always, better than a new one.

Now I have some pictures of parts and what I did as well as part # but don’t know how to upload them, if anyone can help with that that would be great.

I replaced that fuse today.... well still have all the lights on the dash and no a/c no windows, absolutely nothing! I got my 15 tundra tinted including the eye brow and I’m thinking they must have gotten something wet in the dash! P.s. sorry for posting my problem In this forum just looking for help :(

yes sir all of them... blows my mind! It makes me angry! Now I’m thinking it’s the computer...the night I got it back from the tint shop I took the A pillar panels off those had water in them my bully dog programmer stopped working, when I unplug the programmer some of the dash lights disappear like the check engine light some light “FF” and “cruise” goes off.... Idk what’s going on

Water in the A pillar isn't good bro. I'd check for a leak somewhere in the headliner/windshield area...did you tell the tint shop? Truck still under warranty?

yes, I first asked if they had to jump my truck off bc it might have went dead and possibly one of the kids jumped it backwards, but he informed me his guys know how to jump cars off and the jump pack is stupid proof and he told me to let all the water dry....

    Welcome to the forum!

I caused one of the fuses in the fuse block to blow. Looks like the fuse box needs to be removed to remove this fuse block?

    Thanks,
