Any suggestions just recently purchased an 07 tundra and the check engine light came on. I tried hooking up a code scanner that's been used on the truck several times prior but now is saying link error when trying to scan for codes and won't pull the code. I had an auto parts store also try their scanners and are getting the same link error message too. Truck runs fine but I can't pull the code for the check engine light.

    Any help or suggestions?
    Thanks,

Pull that kick panel, I think it's x2 12mm bolts and pull down. Check the obd2 port, see if there is an additional port plugged into it, if not check wiring and grounding point to ensure you have continuity.

There is a dedicated fuse for it there too in panel next to it. Pull the fuse and test.
