Hey guys, got another strange noise happening on my 2010 DC 4.6 Tundra. Has been happening for a few weeks now and seems to be getting worse.

The noise is strange, sort of like a squeaky rotational rattle as if there are chains clanging under my truck. It sounds like heavy metal rather than something thin like a heat shield which I have dealt with before. The noise is only audible with windows down at speeds under 30 mph. Another condition of this noise is that it only happens when turning right or going over small bumps. When turning right, it becomes very evident that it is something rotational. It is definitely the passenger side and I am 80% certain it is the front passenger side.

I cannot seem to replicate the noise by turning the wheel right and spinning it by hand up on my jack stand. Nothing appears loose as far as I can see.

I will try to upload video of the noise tonight. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Are you equipped with 4x4 capabilities?

Maybe a CV axle is sad?

I do have 4WD. Take a listen to the vid I just posted. Does it sound like a CV axle?

I would pull the right front wheel and make sure lug nuts are tight first, then inspect for any scraping or rubbing. Loose brake caliper, rock caught in the dust shield for the brakes.

No issues with loudness and vibration at speed? (Wheel bearing)

I will try to pull off the front passenger wheel tonight. Both front wheel bearings replaced early this year and front brakes done in May this year. No noise or vibration on the highway, brand new tires put on yesterday. The noise started before the tires though.

I will inspect the brakes, shield, rim and hub and report back. Thank you

At some point my center hub cap that covers the axle nut came loose. I just popped it back in and am 100% sure that was the source of the noise. This turned out to be a simple one! Thanks for your input
