OEM Bed Mat isn't available any more??

Just got this in my email after purchasing a 6.5' bed mat a few days ago.
Anyone know whats going on? Looks like a couple other sites too show its not for sale anymore too...hmm wonder it this is a similar situation to the tonneau cover recall?

 

I’ll bet the bed mat catches air at speed and flys out. Probably reason not to sale.

 

It was made with asbestos and Camp Lejune water.

look at RealTruck. As for reason of dealer fail - standard excuse.

 

There is a chemical supply shortage to produce things like this due to circumstances in Europe.

 

Got mine off ebay 79.00 better than the price doubled on Amazon and others

Whats a crew max bed?

 

I have a horse stall mat in there for the time being that I bought from Tractor Supply. While it doesn't cover the entire bed, it does its job. They're available in 4'x'6' sizes and thicker than the OEM mat. I used a razor to trim off any overhang so it fits nicely in the bed.

 

Crew max bed is 5'7'' you give up room for interior

 

Yep what @toyotaobsessed said....I personally have a crew max with the 6.5' bed, so crew max bed doesn't mean anything. Was it harder to find a crew max with a 6.5' bed? yes it was, but a crew max is available with a 6.5' bed.

 

Re-ordered the mat through local Toyota dealer because if you have a button online that will let me do it then I assume it will work...Well this time they called instead of canceling immediately and said "its on back order and we don't know how long it will take but we can hold onto your money for a while to get in line for when they do come available again....and if you get sick of waiting give us a ring and we'll send your $187 doll hairs back if you want it again." I said sure why not let the wait begin.

I was told today that it's discontinued as the company that makes it had a fire. They're working on a new supplier and there were 3 in Toronto they tried ordering and will see what happens

 

interesting. Just had my fob programmed last week. Still waiting on the bed mat I paid for. Was told the factory that makes them was destroyed by a hurricane.

so I have no idea, lol.
