UPDATE: Thanks for the advice here everyone. I found a junkyard in South Dallas that have a set of fenders with flares that were fairly straight and just need some touch up. Just gotta consider a new bumper now, I feel like that one is also incorrect. $100 each i'll add, which beat the heck out of buying fenders and flares separate for maybe $200-300 each.

I got a pretty good deal on a 05 Limited that I found and I'm literally doing almost everything (all new front end, timing, water pump, and now found out I have to rebuild the motor).

Anyway, the front pair of fender flares are missing and I'm trying to locate some. My question is, I've noticed that there are fenders that have holes in them for the fender flares, mine as you can see do not, are those type of fenders required for the flares to go on once I find some? I'm not sure if they ever replaced the fenders, I don't believe they did. I figured if I find some they will bolt up to the inner fender just fine.

    It's good
Sure looks like the fenders were replaced with the wrong ones. Lines are way off.

It looks like your front fender has either had the holes filled or was replaced with a fender without the holes. If you get the large flare like whats in the back you need the fender flare holes and the red and blue flare clips. Unless you fasten it with adhesive maybe which would probably wouldnt hold. Something is definately not right here. I belive your truck came stock with the big flares like on the rear.

Not 100% sure, to me it just looked like they might have tapped someone's bumper and that may have caused the issue. The other side looks the same but lines are straight

I haven't taken the rear flares off yet, do they have the holes on the body? Cause my other solution is to just take them off and touch up paint.

Totally seems to be the wrong fender. Hope you got a good deal!

Normally the fender flares on AC and DC are different, but similar in that they're bolt-on. Your fenders should look like @alb1k's here, with provisions to bolt on: https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...-gen-tundra-today.2558/page-1502#post-2996819

Clearly, someone has been in an accident with the truck. Look at the alignment on the front door seam, you're lucky the door doesn't catch the front fender and pull it in. If I were you, I'd inspect that really closely all over the front-end to see what other damage wasn't disclosed. Then work to get the correct fenders from a donor truck.

But yeah, that's totally the wrong fender IMHO. I can run the parts up for you on the flares, for the plastic capture nuts, screws, and flares, but if it were me, I'd just find a donor truck and swap. www.car-part.com is your friend.

I saw on here someone saying that their flares used adhesive or something, but I've always seen DC flares like the ones I linked above.

Here's a side-by-side for comparison. Looks like it may be a DC non-limited front fender (and/or not OEM) and possibly an AC front bumper skin? I don't think that bumper skin is OEM either.

But really, look at how tight the door gap is to the left of the TUNDRA badge. And how wide the gap is at the A-pillar. And how "off" the color of the front fender and bumper skin is! You can clearly see the typical 'haze' of the door, which has the original OEM single-stage (no clearcoat) paint, and the bumper and fender are obviously clearcoated so good you can see the reflection of the car behind the person who took the pic.

The big DC plastic flares do use adhesive on the rubber. 3m double sided tape to attatch to the flare itself then more double sided tape that sticks to the fender. I just replaced all my flares. It was a PITA. Getting that rubber installed correctly was tedius. Pro tip. Install the blue and red clips in the flares first then just push them into the holes on the fender. Doing it with the clips installed in the fender first is near impossible because the sheetmetal flexes.

I'm considering pulling my flares to wash/wax under and possibly repaint or reclear the flares. Got any part numbers for the clips and rubber trim by chance? Thanks in advance

EDIT: i think I found what I needed. Maybe this will help someone in the future.

Just know, based on what someone else said here, there's a specific order to the fasteners/clips you'll want to use when reinstalling, else you'll futz with it for way longer than you want to.
