I run my pickup on a large farm in Washington State. It hits some pretty good ruts and holes on a daily basis. I've had my alignment whacked twice in the past 2 months; seems silly to have to keep getting it aligned every time I hit a hole. Are there any heavy duty alternatives that might help it hold alignment better? I'm running a slight lift (2" or so) and have no other issues. Truck drives straight and handles fine, until I hit something...

How do you know your alignments are bad twice in 2 months? Does it pull to one side?

Typically slight alignments issues are not that noticeable and after a while you can see the tires not wearing evenly but a month or so maybe too quick for that.

If the holes are that big to notice the damage immediately , I think the only solution is to slow down or maybe some of the bolts are not torqued or can not be torqued.

Btw, I have had a few issues with Les Schwab and I know it maybe your only option in the area but stay away from them. They used to be good but now even if you take a brand new car there, they say alignments are off and want to make some $.

Oh it pulls. I get it corrected before it ruins the tires. Also it's not like I'm tearing around like a jackass trying to wreck my truck. If anyone is familiar with center pivot irrigation, you know that pivot ruts aren't always easy to see. First time I hit one going about 10 mph and it just about tore my toolbox loose, made the truck pull to the left. This time I hit a pothole in a gravel road made by an end spray getting the road too wet, now it pulls to the right. Doing something more to secure the cams makes sense...tack welding might be a bit over the top though. Maybe loctite has a product that would help, like their bearing mount adhesive or something similar?

X2 on Schwabbies. I do my own work and generally avoid them for vehicle repairs.

Mark your alignment cams next alignment. Couldn’t get mine to hold alignment, the front shock coil towers/frame rails were pushing in. Frame shop to pull it back, then had the coil towers connected over the engine, tube brace underneath, and front bumper connecting the frame rails. Also need spindle gussets, cam tab gussets, and solid motor mounts. Holds alignment and takes the big hits, probably a little more than most would want to do though.

If the truck is primarily being used on dirt roads and around farms, perhaps lower the tire pressure a little to add in some more flex when you hit these ruts?
