It’s finally here!! An opportunity for more power, more torque. Better sound. Introducing the birth of the 2022 Toyota Tundra Bolt On Exhaust System.

It will be interesting to hear what you did, I just can’t imagine going from a throaty v8 to a 3.4 small v6

 

More progress.

 

It helps that we can make all of the flanges and hangers in house, it also helps that all of the flanges on the 22’ are the same as other Toyota’s that BAmufflers supports!!

 

Someone found some desert dirt already! Where did you find the donor truck?

We chose a huge BAmuffler to help tame the beastly v6!

Hand built flanges. But with the right tools and craftsmanship, it has a factory fit n finish.

 

It’ll sound good. Even though we are working with a high pitch v6, we have a few tricks in our sleeve.

 

More progress. All mandrel bent. Stainless steel. Wall thickness double that of stock.

 

I'll be keeping an eye on it, but I don't think an exhaust mod is high on my list. I didn't mind the sound at all and am not a fan of loud trucks. It will be cool to see what others do though. Maybe when my OEM exhaust rusts out, I'll see if @dirtydeeds can help a Canuckistani cousin out.

We always try to use the stock tailpipe wherever possible. What I’ve discovered over the years is that Toyota made all tubing dimensions correct. A deviation tends to lose low end torque or horsepower, depending on which way you go, bigger or smaller.

their hands are tied in the design of the muffler. They had no other choice but make their mufflers restrictive. This is the least expensive way to make it quiet. The loss of horsepower is a compromise their willing to take.

We don’t have to though. We can typically gain 3-10hp and 10-20tq to the rear wheels over stock by simply getting rid of the restriction that is the stock muffler, and putting in something thst is free flowing.
