Oil Control Valve (OCV) issues...so I thought

Long time reader, first time poster. I'm posting this hoping it will help someone down the road as I had a hard time finding info about it.

I recently took my '13 4.6L in for an oil change (don't judge, I'm currently dealing with a broken leg). A week later, I pulled my camper for the weekend and came home to the oil pressure reading zero. It's always a bit low, that's the Tundra way, but this was at zero and not moving.

I tried like crazy to find info on it and read the oil pressure sensor may be jacked. I hit Auto Zone, found one, and replaced it. I drove away and the oil pressure had a reading, still low but better. Then the dreaded check engine light turned on...

A code read showed 0011, 0012, and 0024 and it's determined the bank 1 and bank 2 oil control valves need replacing. I figure it's plausible, the OCV's screwed up the sensor like a domino effect kind of thing. Rather than replace two OCV's, I did all four (super easy with just a ratchet) and they're cheap on RockAuto.

I reset the codes, drove away and things looked great. Then the check engine light came back on after 50 miles, the pressure dropped again, nearly to zero and my truck is running like a slug.

A code read this time shows 0012 and 0024 but I know this problem has already been addressed. The codes are reset again and the light is back on within a few miles. For a six year old Tundra with 81,000 miles, we can't have problems like this.

I figure the only other option is an oil change, after only 400 miles, before I have to break down and take it to a shop.

To my surprise, I find the wrong oil filter crammed into my truck. I changed it and the oil, got yelled at by the wife for crawling around when the doctor told me not to, reset the codes, and all is well so far after 150 miles.

0011, 0012, and 0024 are tough codes to diagnose. This is just one more thing to think about if you're experiencing it.

Hope this can help someone out there,
    Mike

Oh the filter is in a bag, and the code reads and receipts are in a folder. That's tomorrow's project, hopefully in a lobby full of customers. It could have easily caused permanent damage to my truck.

I'm trying to see what other cars uses a filter bigger than the Tundras, that they stock at the dealership. Was this at Toyota or an indy
