Took the truck to get an oil change today. They said they couldn't do it because the "oil filters were backordered". Anyone else ran into that? Luckily it was earlier than recommended, only wanted it done because of several thousand mile tripped planned I would have preferred having it done before hand.

Side note, had an appt scheduled and all and they couldn't say something before I drove out there. Service is ridiculously bad these days

Never heard of that. I just bought 5 oil filters 2 weeks ago at my dealer. Doing them myself and just wanted them on my shelf.

Get the part number and order it from a dealer via Amazon or direct from an online toyota parts store.

From there I would either do it myself (preferred) or if you arent into it, go to a local shop.
You provide the filter and they provide the oil/labor gets the job done.

Reading about peoples comments 10k oil changes are a joke. 5k ones are a bit more realistic.

I dunno know about the rest of you but for a brand new engine I strongly disagree with the first change at 10K.
Blah blah it's warranty if it blows up,I don't need to listen or see them scramble to fetch me a rental for X amount of days/or post covid F~ing delays lack of engines. I'm all set
I feel you get out what you put in I'll do it myself and take the Cortese change when it's applicable to them.
To each their own in life,it makes the world go round.

There are only a handful of people I trust in this world and Stealerships ain't one of them.

That's interesting. They give the filter number of 51348XP for the 2024 vs 57145XP for the 2022/23. Makes you wonder if Toyota changed the 24 filter and they are following suit? Let us know if they reply with anything, looks like it's slightly larger.

Why would they change the filter if the engine is the same? Or maybe wix screwed up?

fram, and Amsoil don’t even have a listing for 2024 yet

Wix emailed me back and said 22-24 tundra uses 57145. Said the web site was updated. It’s not, lol.
