Hey all, went to my dealer today to grab an oil filter. They had none in stock and were not getting any until mid March.

Anyone find a supply or have the lexus part number from the cars this motor is already in?

Have not changed it yet due to lack of filter. But going 0w-20 with an ILSAC-6 rating.

I would get a Wix or NAPA Gold oil filter, both are excellent quality. Also I would run synthetic oil, I change mine every 10k miles.

That looks a lot like the 4.7 oil filter?

It does, but different part number. The 2UZ-FE uses 90915-20004.

Manual requires full synthetic. Do not use conventional.

My dealer just got filters in yesterday. Going to do oil change on the truck after work today. Forgot to use my shop discount. So paid full price.

Just picked up a filter for my Jeep tonight at Walmart....was shocked to see OEM Toyota filters on the shelf. They had about 4 different sizes.

Can anyone confirm whether the same oil filter wrench that fits the previous gen. tundras will fit the 3rd gen?

I ordered a case several weeks ago and haven't received it yet. Would like to get that original oil changed soon.

@Scruffy_Nerf Its a different style filter, Toyota went away from the drop in filter style, the 3rd Gen are a screw on cartridge.
