    Hope all is well,

I just bought a tundra with & the oil pressure gauge is not working. I tried changing the sending unit with a aftermarket one from Amazon & the oil pressure gauge did not go up.

Engine is running smooth and oil is clean

Has anyone solved the gauge with any other trouble shooting?

Never use aftermarket parts for electronics on these trucks. Period. End of discussion.

Also, never buy parts on scAmazon or fleaBay, they’re a known source of knockoffs. You may get faster shipping; there are ample places to get better prices.

Did you want to tell us any info about your truck? Year? Engine? Cab type? 2WD or 4WD? I ask because there is at least one TSB for oil pressure, and in the earlier year trucks it’s pretty common to have the oil gauge barely register.

I would read up on the FSM for your truck to determine what electrical tests you can do to determine if it’s working correctly.

Thanks for reaching out brother, I have a 2001 4.7 L Extended Cab 4WD, I was lucky that the owner of the truck before me was first owner and had the frame replaced by recall in 2012, the truck only has 150k miles and is in pretty mint condition beside this oil gauge.

Nope, for this you need the FSM for the specifics. You could get an account online with the Toyota technical info system and print to pdf the pages you need. Last time I spent $10/day and there’s a weekly rate as well.

You can search here on the forum. Some people have posted links in the past to where you can get it online free.

The thread I linked you with literally has a field service manual linked in the 4th or 5th paragraph. Highly recommend you read the first two replies of that thread. Download the manual. Skip Chiltons and Haynes.

I too am having this issue, however when driving and rpm is at 2000 rpm the gauge reads low and at idle it reads zero.
