    Hey guys, I'm new here and I have a question about a lift I want to do on my tundra.

    I have Bilstein 5100s all around the truck and they are put at the max lift height in the front. I found a set of Old Man Emu springs for the front of the truck that claim a 2.5" lift in the front (heavy duty springs - https://www.extremeterrain.com/old-man-emu-tundra-25-in-heavy-load-lift-coil-springs-2614.html [if I'm not supposed to put links in here then sorry about that]) So my main question is, anyone have any idea if this would work out? If so, how much lift would it give so I can get blocks for the rear?

    I'm sorry for all the questions but I'm extremely new to this so if anyone has any helpful tidbits that would be great!

    Dont stack lifts like that. Your front suspension would be a mess. None of the components are designed for the 5+ inches of lift that you would end up with. OME suspensions tend to run higher anyway, more than the 2.5 advertised. You also will need adjustable UCA at any lift 3 inches+.

    OME is solid, if you want to switch to OME springs get the matching shocks. They are made to work together. And with OME, unless you have a heavy bumper and winch, you dont want the heavy duty springs. They will net too much lift and ride hard.

    So, that is a hard no go on what you proposed. Not sure what you are trying to accomplish but if you are unhappy with the 5100s, 6112s can be had with new springs for reasonable $ and will ride better. There are also several other 2.5-3 inch coil over choices (toytec, kings, etc) that ride better than 5100, and you are already aware of OME suspensions.

    I'm about to fab up a new front bumper that will support a winch, so yes it will be heavy, but what about some Eibach springs that would give a 2" lift, I get what your saying, but I don't think the 5100s really lift my truck at all... I was doing some measurements on my dads truck (2014 Tundra, 1794 edition, 4WD - same tires as well) and the difference between his and mine wasn't that much, so would it really be lifting the truck 5 inches? What about dropping the 5100s to the lowest ride height and then doing the spring lift? Thanks again for all the info.

    Correct^^^ OME offers 3 versions of coils depending on which V8 you have and what load will be up front, such as a winch bumper with winch for exampl. I had OME coilovers on my 07. No way in hell will you get 5" of lift. I was around 2.75" with a winch bumper with a Smittybilt winch.

    That changes things. Why not upgrade to OME coilovers up front? Call Hugo at @Toytec Lifts !

    I wondered this to at first cuz I had 5100s with emu springs. I don’t see why it won’t work but never plunged on it.found a deal on some fox coilovers and never looked back.

    So I'm hearing is (I have the 2007 4.7L V8) I can get the OME springs I linked and use them without getting UCA? Or should I go with these springs https://www.extremeterrain.com/eibach-tundra-2-in-front-pro-lift-springs-e30-82-067-03-20.html which offer 2" of lift? While then building the custom front bumper and slapping a winch on it?

    Do the OME springs provide the lift because they're longer? Or because they're stiffer?

    2" of lift is relative when it comes to a spring upgrade. There are so many variables. I can only give you my experiences that's why I recommended you to call Hugo at ToyTec. Explain to Hugo what your plans are. Hugo knows is stuff when it comes to Yotas. He lives and breathes Yotas. I wouldn't recommend him here on this forum if I felt otherwise:thumbsup:

    It all depends on what weight is up front.

    Wouldn't I want the lift because they're longer? That way the ride isn't super rough?}

    The coilovers provide the lift/leveling you want. I only mentioned OME's because I had them. There are so many options of brands to choose from. It comes down to your budget.

    You will get a "lift" but you want to match the coil springs for the weight you have up front for the best "ride". You definitely do want coilsprings that are overkill or you will have a very harsh ride.
