i have a 3.5” lift. I’m about to add a steel bumper/ 12000 warn winch. I was concerned about the front dropping down with the added weight. OME coils were suggested. Can I use these with my 3.5” RC lift? The kit comes with new UPC’s. I had read the OME’s give you 3” lift. I basically want it to sit level like it should when I add the bumper/winch.

You'd have to take out the rc spacers, run ome coils and springs. 613 are the heady duty ones. You can use the rc upper control arms, will help out.

I'm in the same boat as you. I just installed a bumper and which. I run the RC n2.0 struts 3". The weight has me sagging and rubbing now. I've been looking at ome, king, icons were recommended today.

What Berdine said. You can’t run spacers with OME lifts. The 613 coils will work good for a winch. I’m pretty sure you can’t run just there coils with let’s say adjustable 5100’s. It has to be Old Man Emu Shocks. I’ve heard of Tacoma’s being able to do that but never on a Tundra.

thanks guys. I’ll probably just sell the bumper and winch. I can’t affird to ditch a new lift and buy another.

I love the looks of a beefy high clearance bumper and a winch. But the fight to get the suspension right and all that extra weight deters me. I’d like some high clearance and strong but light-ish bumpers one day. Custom tube bumpers preferably.

I’ll be running 35”s so I’m sure with the added weight I’ll be rubbing and sagging. I figure I’d be adding about 150-160 lbs. I’ve sent a email to ARB -OME. If I can use the rest of the RC kit ( diff drop, UCA, rear lift) and get something from OME to work I might try that

You'll need the diff drop, the ucas from RC will definitely help for alignment. Keep the rest the same until you can afford to go with the rest of the ome lift in the rear. Lots of people do it that way. You can get a set of ome 613s heavy duty ones for over $500. Just swap those in and take the stock ones out with the RC spacers in front. Then upgrade the rear when you can, or might not feel you need to.

All I can find is the 2.5” coil overs. My RC spacers are 2” and I have found a set of 3” spacers. Wondering if that would be a temp get by until I can afford the new ones

If your spacers measure 2", doesn't mean you're getting 2" lift. You're getting 3-3.5" of lift.

Those are nice, but they're 5100's. Don't think they'll handle the weight. Maybe if you step up too the 6112s. They're a little bit bigger body and heavier duty. But both bilsteins will net you under 3" of lift. You have to add a shim or 2 to get to 3".

I posted about this a week ago, not many replies back because I was looking into the 6112s for mine.

Also the 6112s are 700lb springs.

I can get the OME 6112 coils installed on shocks and delivered for about $630. They are 2.5”. I guess it’s going to be a trial and error thing lol. I can also get the fox adjustables for around $800. I like the idea that the OME’s are built for the load but having a adjustable coil would allow me to adjust the front to match the rear. Decisions decisions

Well I think I’m going with the OME’s. I been trying to call Toytec all day to ask some questions but can’t get through.

Update, can’t do emu 700lbs coil/shock and get close to my 3.5 lift, they said I would need the 5100’s, 700lb coils and a 1/2” spacer plate to get back to my 3.5”. Looking toward the ToyTec boss adjustable coil overs with silver 700 lb springs

Do t see how the 5100s will be good with that weight. Even with 700lb springs. I thought the ome 613s would net over 3" of lift. So, you're ordering the boss ones? I'm torn between icon ones or those.

Depends on what you do. I've got the OME setup with HD coils. I'm not hauling ass high speed over the desert like a few members here. Their setup matches what they do. I'm pretty much just wheeling on old mining roads here in CO. Nothing crazy but I manage quite well. Got pin stripes but all is good.

Grey Wolf, I’m just interested in getting my front end back up level. The only wheeling I’d be doing is riding through the muddy roads getting to my hunting land. The use of the 5100 with the emu coils and 1/2” spacer was from Wheelers off-road tech support. Those boss Coilovers with the 700lb spring is what I’m probably going with. I’d be happy with a little bit bigger spacer to fix the sag but it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen that way lol
