Hi needed some guidance on relocating on/off switch that is located on the inverter. I would like to move that to a dash button like image attached. Is anyone familiar with re wiring factor on off switch on an inverter to one of these switches is it pretty straight forward? Thanks for the help.

Do you have a pictures or a location of the inverter switch now? Not 100% familiar with what you are referring to as the inverter on/off

Thanks for the reply. I am going to post some pictures of the inverter and take a look at the inverter switch wiring (post that as well). I was hoping to have the switch above delivered but it was delayed. Will post more pictures in a little bit!

OK here is the power inverter, the inverter on/off. And the remote on off switch.

I was wanting to wire this into the ignition so when i hit the remote on off switch incase I turn it on and then walk away and turn the truck off that the inverter will also turn off.

Being that is an aftermarket inverter you are going to have to take it apart and verify the on/off button is just a simple switch.

After that, pick a mounting location and you can wire in the switch you have.

Adding a relay that is powered by the key will allow for it to come on/off with key also if you leave the switch on

I have that same inverter mounted in my console. The usb plug is always on fyi regardless of if the inverter is turned on or off.

if I need it, I simply flick the switch.

I have opened it up actually and you should be able to extend the wires for the switch… which now you have me thinking I need to do…

but honestly it is a small inverter, does the job for in cab use. I have it run on 8 gauge direct to the battery with a relay for the vehicle on/off so it does not constantly stay on.

    Following for progress

Nice! @biebs96 what relay did you go with? Could you show me how you wired up the relay if you have time appreciate it!

I used one for a lightbar/similar accessory. All of my wiring is tucked under the dash and the relay is against my firewall.

Any photo that would be helpful would require a lot of disassembly.

OK so here is what I have gathered so far. I am going to try and document this really well.starting with all the parts and wiring I have come up with well actually my brother. So here is parts list so far.

    500w inverter
    60 Amp breaker x2
    Small fuse block.
    12v relay
    Power outlet for cab
    Poweroutlet for truck bed
    Fuse tap
    Power Push button.

Let me know what you all think or if you would do wiring differently. Thanks for any input/feed back.

I am going to start by running wire from battery to 60 Amp breaker I still need to get some velcro to mout fuse block and inverter under drivers seat.

Alright just an update got everything installed. We'll al.ost everything. Going to do outlets in the bed of the truck probably do that next weekend.

Started off doing the wiring from the battery to 60amp breaker through the firwall, to 4 pin relay on the drivers side. Here are some pics not the best but will hopefully help someone.
