Hi. New user here. 2.43/10 on the DIY scale. I’m a teacher so I’m pinching pennies where I can.

My 2007 Tundra 5.7L is due for an inspection this month so it’s time for me to finally take care of this after a few months.

My passenger’s side reverse bulb isn’t fully functioning. The bulb works properly for a turn signal and the hazards, but not when the truck is in reverse. The driver’s side reverse bulb is fully functioning. I have replaced both bulbs, so that doesn’t appear to be the issue—any bulb that works on the driver’s side has the same issues when connected to the passenger’s side.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

have you try swapping the passenger side reverse light bulb to the driver and see if it works ? reverse is a bulb on its own so it might be bad.
otherwise check wiring if any cuts or chewed.

If it’s not led you’re putting in there, it shouldn’t matter which way it goes in. Since your known good bulb doesn’t work, try a voltmeter on the connection and see if it’s getting power. If you don’t have one, you might be able to go to an auto parts store and ask them to test it.

Got it! Thanks for the advice. There was a loose connection somewhere. I disconnected both wiring harnesses and switched them. Now they’re both working. Thanks for the input!
