I have every high high side pressure, 350 psi, and want to replace the orifice tube and expansion valve. I am having a hard time finding an orifice tube on line. Does it have one? I see something on the condenser but am not sure if it is indeed the orifice tube. It is not what I expect.

    Thanks,

Might have better luck in the 3rd Gen. Tundra forum. And, pictures always help.

It probably doesn’t have an oriface. Probably only uses expansion valve. I’m not sure what you see on the condenser but on the gen2.5 there is a filter dryer on the condenser, that may be what your seeing.

A clogged orfice would cause lower pressure because it’s all being condensed and stacked in the condenser not actually picking up heat(pressure) from the evaporator

What refrigerant do we have and what are the normal operating pressures? I did a lot of A/C work on my old GM R134A vehicles but my 2009 Tacoma went 15 years and never needed anything, so I need to bone up. IIRC I put gages on it once to have a look when it was 3 years old and that was it. Never touched it again, and it worked 100% when I sold the truck.

As noted above, almost certain we have expansion valves, not old school orifices.

Blocked airflow through condenser up front is the first thing to check, debris, grille inserts, shutter malfunction, fan clutch operation, etc...

A/C head pressure will soar if insufficient airflow over condenser!!!!!

Toyota vehicles have never used orifice tubes like many domestic brands use, they use expansion valves, later models use H block style expansion valves.
