How hard is it to replace the outside passenger side door handle on a 07 Tundra SR5 supercab (cab and a half)? Some parking lot jerk peeled mine off, no other damage, while I was away from the truck. Any input welcome, thanks in advance.

Yeah, thanks. No doubt I can do this, but turns out the lockset handle piece is MIA. Here's pix of what I found at the scene of the crime. And I also have a nice new scratch to boot. The intact handle pix shows what I am missing from the passenger side. Do I really need a lockset on the passenger side?

My passenger side does not have a lock on it, only present on driver front door handle.

I also have the blue jack stands from them hahaha

But yeah, I didn't really have a good photo of the passenger door but figured that showed it enough where you can tell there is no lock in it.

Okay, great...just figured it had a lockset too. That simplifies things a lot.

Got the new handle test fit, but not on yet. Can't get the retainer bolt to line up & catch the threaded portion of the rear piece...grrrr.

I had same happened when a friend tried to help me transfer my chrome handles to the new truck when i traded in.

I just removed it and re-installed it and it aligned itself. He must not have seated the handle and the end cap properly.

Are you sure someone didn't try to break into your truck?

Yeah, vehicle burglars generally don't leave the scratch that this left.
Still can't get the Dorman handle to work. Goes on well enough, but there's no "spring back" to the handle...but looks nice. I'll prob schedule a dealer visit later this week...they have a good shuttle service.
