Alright gents, yesterday I installed my S&B Cold Air Intake in my 2020 5.7 SX. Looks and sounds amazing. I'm very happy with the quality so far. However, I have a small problem. It is now throwing a P0113 (Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High Voltage) code and when I hooked up the ol' scan tool, the IAT is reading -40.0 Degrees F.

I disconnected the battery during install, was very careful with the MAF, ensured that the connections are good and tight, and have since disconnected the battery and cleared the codes and re-checked connections numerous times.

I have an appointment at the Toyota dealership that I work at today to have them take a look at it but the thing that confuses me most is that the Pre-Collision system is throwing fault codes as well as the trailer brakes now also and that wasn't the case previously. Does anyone else have experience with getting this code after a CAI install and does anyone else have any experience with it causing the trailer brake and pre-collision system to malfunction also?

Please ignore how dirty the engine bay is - once the CEL issue is gone, I'll be doing a full detail on the truck because it desperately needs it.

Update - Any time the CEL comes on, the Pre-collision system, trailer brake, and cruise control systems will throw a malfunction code and be inoperable as well. The connector for the MAF has a single wire in it that's responsible for providing ground to the IAT Sensor that is notoriously loose within the connector. When plugging the connector back into the MAF, the pin backed out of the connector causing it to not make a solid connection with the MAF. Literally just pushed the pin back into the connector and crimped the pin back in place and problem solved.

Looks really good in my opinion. Just aggressive enough without being super flashy and the sound is phenomenal at around 1800-3500 rpm under load. I'm very happy with it and the install was incredibly easy. Just a little too big-handed so definitely be careful if you plan on doing one yourself. The harness and connector for the MAF is very temperamental.

I just started reading up on this, and am seeing reviews from people saying no MPG gains, and some saying anywhere from 1-3 MPG gain on the highway. Have you noticed anything? I'm close to pulling the trigger on one, but if you see any MPG decline, that'll more than likely deter me. Thanks.

I've only had it on for 2 days and driven about 50 miles. I've also driven it significantly more aggressively than I generally do because I'm a sucker for hearing that sound and it's still pretty new. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that I have not lost any fuel economy. I don't think I've gained any either though. I'm averaging roughly what I did before but like I said, I've been driving it a little more liberally as well. I'll update you in a few days when I have some more drive time on it.

Thanks for the reply. I just added a pedal commander and TRD rear sway bar. Looking at what my next mod will be.
