First i had two malfunctions and a CEL: Drive start control malfunction and something about towing malfunction. Turned off the truck and turned it back on and just had the CEL which was a P2716. Pressure Control Solenoid D Electrical.

Anyone have this problem before? Anything i can do myself to check before taking it to a dealer on monday?

Hi that’s a code for the shift solenoid in the transmission called the SLT theirs way to diagnose it but it’s not that easy you need a multimeter to check resistance I can give you all the info you need but if your vehicle is under warranty I wouldn’t touch it cause you might have to remove transmission pan to diagnose it.

Yea man good idea cause they will possibly have to get into the valvebody to check the SLT solenoid that means dropping the pan which filling the trans with fluid is pain in the ass cause we have no dipstick. Or the other problem can be failed wiring from pcm to transmission or a pcm reflash so it gets a little complicated
