Discovered yesterday that my Pace Edwards Ultra Groove Tonneau cover does not 'roll up' all the way into the canister. It's been a while since I have tried to retract it all the way, but it seems like the tensioned spring has lost its 'spring'. Is there any way short of taking the whole dumb thing apart to retension the spring? I liked the cover initially, but with the drain holes CONTINUALLY clogging, and needing to be cleaned out it has been a headache. I may just put an RSI smart cap on this spring.....

I would contact Pace Edwards regarding the tension spring. They probably have a solution for you.

Regarding debris clogging the drain, I installed a slide out seal on the edge of the canister lip. It keeps 99% of the debris out and will definitely keep most of the larger drain clogging debris out. I rarely have to clean the canister out.

During install I ended up breaking the plastic drain connectors trying to fit it over the top of my Decked system. I replaced them with wide mouth brass connectors and used wide plastic tubing to replace the drain hoses. With the sweep and the wide drain I've had zero draining issues in 18 months of ownership.

    Seal I used:
