Hello all. New here and just got a 2023 tundra platinum yesterday. Really love the truck however noticed on some bumps I’m hearing a creaking noise or when the body flex’s on a turn. Narrowed it down to this corner of the panoramic sunroof creaking whenever flexing. I attached a video. Anyone else experience this? It will be going back to dealer tomorrow for service but curious on thoughts if it’s a bolt loose or some other cause. Here is a link to the video

I hate to say it but, all vehicles have something wrong. If you push hard enough or look hard enough you will find something. In the end your 23 will develop more noise, hopefully not many. There the issue of air noise on the 3rd gens also, dont know if that's been fixed. There is glare issues with some interior chrome pieces on the 2.5 gen. There is always something. You would figure for what you're paying it would be flawless.

I mean yeah I guess but this is annoying hearing this all the time. When the sun was out today at 80 I didn’t hear it really at all but as it got cooler out it started again so it tells me if it’s hot enough out there won’t be any noise but cooler or cold it will make some noise. Deff something with the bolt I would assume

My 2020 has its own creaks and squeaks when winter roles around. Lucky for me, in Miami, winter days are very few so I don’t hear them often. But I do have them in the dash area. Maybe the dealer can figure yours out and it’s a simple fix.

Nice weather down there always. I live in New York so we get our occasional cold and hot times of the year. I did push up on the middle of the back glass and I can hear it creaking away. Starting to think it could be the rubber seals around the outside of the panoramic sunroof coming in contact with the metal and if it’s warm the rubber is more flexible and not as stiff

Update: so both bolts I was able to access and they did tighten up a little. Things have improved however now there is no noise when the shade is closed. If the shade is open then there is creeking coming from the area shown in my video. However while my wife was driving, I sat in the back and held on that bar. There was zero noise. When I let off of it, it started creaking again. So I narrowed it down to the bar track that the shade runs along. I also noticed as it warms up throughout the day, there is no noise so it sounds like the heat expands the bar. As it cools down it starts creeking again unless there is some weight on it like the shade closed. So I’m on to something but trying to figure this out as best I can trying to avoid the dealer who will probably rip the headliner off which I would like to avoid

So looking for this noise for 2 weeks since I got the truck and no help from the dealer “we can’t reproduce the noise” I did today stumble across this. Does anyone else’s tundra make this noise? I doubt it but would like to know if I’m actually on to something with this now. If I am, I like to find a way to remove the rear dome light to get a better look as it sounds like something is loose or it’s metal on metal exactly in that area. When it gets hot enough outside I don’t hear this which makes me believe something is contracting and expanding temperature wise to create this type of creek I’m hearing related to my first video. Attached is the new video below:

I’m not sure if a new pano noise I have is the same as yours. It only happens when the road surface has continuous small bumps. Mine sounds like it is where the two glass panels meet in middle. I will try to ride in the back and narrow down the source. It is less noticeable when the shade is closed but still there. It only happens on certain road conditions.

Appreciate it if you get the chance. I managed to get the rear dome light off without damage. Total of 6 clips and plastic pry tool. Looked inside with a camera there's not much other than the shade roller assembly. It's now too warm out to really hear the noise. Im gonna try again tomorrow morning when its cool out (low 70's high 60's to hear it). Noise also comes back if I spray the car with a hose to cool it. Goes away once it warms up again.

Which corner were you pressing on in your first video?

Passenger side right rear corner. I don't believe its the track or the glass itself, but something metal inside under the headliner that might be rubbing against something else

Another update: so driving today hit a big bump in the road and started hearing something moving around like a loose screw. Got home and checked. Turns out this bolt popped out of the bottom of the headline. Managed to get it out with a magnet but does anyone know what this could possibly be used for? Crazy how this is happening. Definitely on to something in this area now

Interesting. Did the noise change after removing the screw? I haven’t been able to duplicate the noise since we last posted. It comes and goes.

not recently but this week I haven’t heard much of the noise. I’m still playing around with it as I’m not 100% sure yet. There is however some bar in the rear corner that you can see in my photo next to the circle that hangs down and if I push on it from below the headliner, I can create the tapping sound as from my first video. I’m still unsure if that’s actually where it’s coming from or if that screw that just popped out has something to do with it. It’s 80 right now so it’s already too hot out for it to make any noise, will need to wait till this weekend where it’s suppose to be in the low 60’s to really see if I’m hearing anything. If it turns out to be that bad I’m gonna try to squeeze and put some foam in between where it contacts the top. Will update as time goes on

Update: this issue I feel has been resolved. I haven’t heard the creek since that bolt popped out of the headliner. Had even some weather at 60 degrees and nothing. So I’m guessing that bolt was loose and had something to do with it. Now of course once one issue is resolved another pops up. Dealing with the sunroof rattling now towards the front. It’s honestly always rattled here and there even before that bolt popped out but I didn’t pay much mind to it. Today though it’s been non stop. It is more tolerable than that creek noise was as it only happens over certain bumps where as the creek happened over any little twist of the body. I saw there was another thread about the sunroof rattling but no one has really found a fix for it yet

Mine stopped making the creek noise after I posted last time. Mine sound like it is coming from the seam between the front and back panel.

Yes. Seems to come and go with different temperatures. Only hear it on rough roads with many small bumps in a row or raised cracks in asphalt. I don’t hear it on large bumps.

I was worried about Leak. Not Creek.
