As the vehicle nanny systems evolve, I find myself being thankful for them in part, but also think they're a bit too invasive. One particularly annoying system is the Parking Support Brake System. While we're all human, and even the best of us will screw up occasionally, and its these times that I'm thankful for these systems.

Having said that, one particularly annoying feature of this system is where the truck nannys you when you're at a red light and the truck thinks you're too close to the vehicle in front of you. When the light turns green, you get a message on the multi display "Object Detected, Acceleration Reduced". Are you kidding me?? I get it that someone may stop quick, brake check,etc... But let's face it, we have enough issues with crappy acceleration without the nanny systems making it worse.

I do keep this system turned on because you never know - and I may be thankful for the help some day but when you have someone next to you that has to merge and thinks wherever they're going is more important and is about to cut you off, you may need to accelerate.

    Just a rant. Sorry .
If I could turn just that particular part of the feature off I would.

I haven't experienced this in my first 5K of driving. That being said I do live in a largely rural area.

Lol maybe you're just tailgating people? How close are you stopping to car in front of you?

I stop about 8-10ft away from cars in front of me, maybe 5ft if I get too close. Never had this message pop-up.

Besides, if I get too close to car in front of me, I can see my headlights blinding them right into their mirrors, so I try to be courteous and keep at least 6-10ft distance.

I think the problem is identified. Back off from the vehicle in front of you. Also, someone is about to cut you off and you accelerate? Not sure how to label that?

I got this message yesterday. Object detected. Acceleration temporarily reduced.

I was puzzled. Not any closer to car than normal.

It more confused me than anything else. Didn't know what it meant.
