Anyone know why my passenger heated seat isn't working? The driver side works fine, passenger seat worked last winter but not anymore. There is some kind of plug in block on the bottom of the seat, I swapped it with the one from the driver seat and it didn't work. Cooled seats work fine. The light on the controls come on like its working. Is there an individual fuse or relay for the passenger seat? Any help would be appreciated.

    They share the same fuse.

If I read your post correctly, you swapped the front seats and they still didn't work?
The heating elements may have failed.
The wires in those heaters are tiny.

Unfortunately OEM heating elements are expensive..
If you can figure out the wiring, you could probably make an aftermarket heating element work.

This may or may not help you..

Heater wires are in this connector under each seat.

    QY2 on the right seat.
    PZ1 on the left seat.

Thank you for the detailed post!! I'll look deeper into this. I didn't swap the seats, the is a small block that looks like a relay, but isn't a relay, under the seats, that goes to the heated seats. I swapped out that little electrical block from seat to seat

Those heaters are wired in parallel. It seems unlikely that both would fail at the same time - it is more likely a switch or relay upstream of the heaters.

    Good Luck!

Well I swapped the seats around to eliminate any wiring issues it might be, passenger seat didn't work on the driver seat plug, but the driver seat worked on the passenger plug. Gonna look into the wiring in the seat itself, I had a mouse issue earlier this year so I'm hoping its just a chewed up wire.

That's a lot of work. Have you used a multi-meter to check for power? You know at seat, at switch (before/after), to narrow down where the problem is. Luck.

I don't have my meter where I'm at right now, so it gave me something to do, and I found cool stuff under my seat not previously noticed hahaha my guess is the elements are burned out since my driver seat worked with the passenger side plug. And my passenger seat didn't work at all on the driver plug. Probably gonna leave it alone because the elements will be $500+.

It isn't the switch or neither would work.
I think you've narrowed it down to the problem being in the actual seat.
I also agree with @DIYDad that it's odd both the seat back and bottom stopped working.
Maybe there are some connectors in the seat that may have worked their way apart.

I installed aftermarket heaters in my 2014 SR5 with leather.
Taking the seat cover off isn't too bad, but you'll need hog rings and hog ring pliers.
It is more time consuming than anything.

The stock OEM heating elements are not the same as the aftermarket, but this video might help you with getting the covers off.
I used it to install mine, just a basic generic seat install..

Also read thru this, it may or may not help..
It applies directly to stock Toyota heating elements.

    Keeps us posted.
I'm curious to what is wrong with them.

I'm gonna say it's the elements that are bad. Could be from a number of things, like my dog jumping in the seat alot, he goes with me 99% of the time and jumps in the passenger seat alot, probably not good for the elements, he weighs 80lbs too. I'll get a multimeter and test it at the plug soo and report back.

But my dog doesn't like the heated seats anyway cause he has a thick coat, but the vented seats keeps his nuts cool and he loves it.

The heated seats are for my girl, the vented seats are for my dog.

Only reason I put heated seats in my SR5 was for my wife.
Sometimes she uses them in the summer when I have the AC running.
But I found I use them a lot more myself than I thought I would in cooler weather.

Let us know what you find. I've considered adding an extra switch so I can turn off the seat heater while keeping the back heater on. This old man's back I have sure likes the heat, even on days when I'm running the AC.

I think that should be a standard feature in the 1794, since it mostly sells to us older dudes!

I haven't read the whole thread so please forgive me if you fixed it. You should know that I had this same problem right after the dealer did a calibration on my front (radar) sensor. When I took it back to see what the problem was they said it was related to that sensor. Now maybe that it total bullstine but that is what they said the culprit was.
