I know these tundras are notorious for failing power windows. But how do you fix them? My passenger side window won’t roll up but it will roll down, motor is fine, I disconnected the passenger window for now but would like to go back and fix it. Anyone else have the same issue and resolved it? Thanks in advance.

I didn't know about this being a huge issue with our Tundras. Guess I'm lucky :fingerscrossed: Is it at the switch on drivers side? Does the passenger side switch work?

It’s not a common issue. Thankfully it’s not catastrophic like a jeep where the window will fall into the door and shatter. That happened to a friend of mine.

I had it happen on the '92 Camry but luckily didn't shatter. It happened just after the warranty ran out. I took the door panel off and found a plastic part broke that held the window to the cable mechanism that moved the window up and down. Toyota didn't sell that part separately. You had to buy the whole motor and cable regulator assembly which then I think was around $300. I wasn't going to spend that much to fix a part by all actuality should not have cost more than a few dollars to replace. So I did one better and fixed it for no cost to me. I had some stiff baling wire and just used it to wrap around the broken plastic part and cable mechanism for free!
