Anyone have issues with thing coming on for no reason? It’s done it a time or two and did it today and wouldn’t shut off. I finally shut the truck off and started it back up and it went away.

I had the same problem. Took it to my Toyota dealership and they can't find any code. I gave them 2 pictures but I guess they want me to bring it in when it comes on.

Dumb question maybe. Is the sensor clean? Mine does that when gets gummed up with mud or snow or ice.

If it’s cold and frost develops over the sensor or in heavy rains sometimes it will turn off. It snowed here last week and there was slush that formed on the bumper and iced up the grill. The PCS light came on then too. The weather seems to affect it quite a bit for me

I, like the others, have only experience this a couple times due to weather. Mainly in cold weather (heavy frost or snow). It has always gone off after running for a bit though.

I'm going to assume it's not weather related because his outside temp gauge says 84 degrees and in Alabama. Unless he's traveling to Minnesota and parked in a very heated garage :anonymous:

Edit: weather related may be applicable to @peteshen

I see it when there's heavy rain or frost.

The pre-collision system used the radar in the grill and the camera behind the rearview mirror. so if either get crap obscuring them it will cut the system off

This happens to me when there is rain, frost, dew, or the camera is dirty. It usually goes away shortly.

my 2019 limited does the same thing from time to time. Like others have said, typically after snow or heavy rain, often clears up pretty quick.. I think it is a Minnesota thing, lol.. I do notice it is a little more sensitive since I switched to the AJT relocation bracket to use the 2018 Pro Grill.

It did happen a few times in the rain and then that picture was just tooling down the road on a dry summer day. It hasn't done it in quite some time though.

mine started out like that... had the pre col. symbol showing off and the sensitive was accessible through the menu screen but unadjustable... now a few weeks later the middlebox has an annoying error message saying the Pre col system is off and I can't get it or the yellow! symbol to turn off or go away. I tried to disconnect the battery as well.

Toyota bought my 2018 back because of this. Had the same issue where it would go off and on. Never throws a code. Even brought it in one time to get it looked at because it was going off and on. They hook it up to the computer to look for codes. while it was hooked up, the PCS light came on. Still no code. Then finally the malfunction error light came on and still no code.
