I’ve been looking around for performance upgrades on these trucks and all I’ve really seen where bullydog tuners and dap tunes and trd superchargers, I’ve seen threads talk about getting headers but I still have so many questions about them can someone help me find out how too get the best performance outta my truck
All I have done too it at the moment is a 2/4 drop a mid muffler delete with pipes and leds

Pedal commander is an easy one to address the shitty throttle response. Won’t make you anymore power but will help you access the power you have more quickly.

as far as actual HP gains in my experience there isn’t much out there outside of what you mentioned.

Supercharge it. Cost you 7 grand for 150 horses to the ground and prolly get you a little better gas mileage if you dont lay into it all the time. Im considering this.

Headers, intake, exhaust, all that stuff MIGHT get you 10% more power at a third or half the cost of the blower, not to mention emission headaches with headers and cat deletes. Or you could do some crazy regearing or something and it still won't get you near a bolt on blower. If you want real power, you gotta spend real cash.

I'm not sure if you exhaust mod is helping or hurting you. @dirtydeeds can answer that.

    Welcome.

I lowered the bed of my truck 3.25", then installed a DAP tune, then a custom Dirty Deeds muffler system followed by a drop in dry air filter. The performance and drive-ability are greatly improved, and I didn't spend a bunch of money.

The truck had 270,000 miles on it when I bought it, and forced induction systems tend to accelerate wear & tear on the engine & transmission, so the supercharger was not an option for me. Long tube headers are about the only mod left for me, but the cost per HP gained is rather high.

I will install an Auburn HD LSD this Summer, this will make better use of the performance gains I already have. Best of luck to you.

Lighter wheels & tires are a great mod, and reducing weight on / in the truck is always a good idea.

Well the dems ran on 2k more checks to get elected in the senate. They didnt say 1400. At the very least 1400 but it should be 2k unless they are already going back on their word. Reelections are in 2 years, COVID will still be a fresh wound in 2 years so they better make good on their 2K promise or welcome back GOP......

I wouldn't count on receiving another check... they will find a reason to cancel it.

Spend your money wisely because proposed tax hikes and regulations will quickly eat up any stimulus check, and much more. Raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour will close more businesses and put more people out of work, so it may be a buyers market for those of us still working.

Back to what N/A mods are best :burnrubber:

I'm basically full bolt on NA here topped with a Bully Dog tune. Waiting on my LSD install as my current mods will fry my tire into 3rd gear from dead stop. Looking at a better tune at this point as well as with anything whether NA/SC improvements are always to be had.

That being said I like the route I went to stay NA. I can beat on my truck daily and I do without dreading something breaking. I bought a Toyota for reliability and modded NA to retain it while enduring a larger grin when driving.

My sig has my mods if your curious

I always say, give Keith Carty of Dirty Deeds Industries a call at 760-877-4234 when you want to do anything to your truck. He really has spent a lifetime seeing what a Tundra can do. Check out the attached, but give him a call at anytime and make your truck EXACTLY what you want it to be.

So far no tuner can ‘remove’ it. There’s some claiming they’re removing it. But in reality they just make the monitor never run so the cycle never completes. This is not removing anything. It just tricks the owner of the truck into thinking it was removed. But check your readiness monitor and it was never cycled.
