    Please help

    2022 TRD Sport Sequoia
    4x4
So everything was going great until I lowered the truck down and saw how tall she was sitting.

    setup
Fox 2.5 Factory Race Series 88002947
2-3” lift claimed for the kit
Trying to keep factory UCA because I wasn’t trying to go above 2” at least for now

    center of hub to fender:
    Passenger:21.5”
    Driver: 21”

    post lift height
    Passenger: 27.5”
    Driver:26.5”
    6” gain passenger
    5.5” gain driver

    wtf

I even adjusted the collars up 2 turns. Currently resting at the 6th thread

Did you loosen the lca bolts when you installed them?
Did you tighten the lower shock and lca bolts with the truck sitting on tires under its own weight?

A few... Definitely more than 2
Did you move the truck at all after the install? If not it is possibly just 'scrubbed'. The tires don't want to slide sideways on the concrete under the truck so it keeps the height closer to full droop than ride height when you drop off of the jacks. Worth a shot:notsure:... just back up 15-20 feet and turn the wheel a couple of times while moving, then pull back forward and remeasure.

Did you drive the car and let the suspension settle after?

This. Suspensions always sit a couple of inches higher immediately upon setting them down. They need a drive-around to settle.

Tightened everything after lowering, and have driven it around everything feels good. Just finished putting wheels and tires on. Just seems way tall, and I adjusted collars even more

Maybe the front weight balance of the sequioa is lower than a crewmax?

Just to follow up I ended up doing a spacer lift until I can determine the direction I want to go with the front, I’m impressed with the road mannerism with the factory Bilstein plus the spacer and it sits level with the back, which ended up with 5100’s and dobinson 1.75” springs

the rear rides firm but gentle, granted impression solely from 2 speed bumps while test driving post install but I love the stance and I’m liking the wheel tire combo a lot. Now debating storage of the spare and roof rack options.

The Fox 2.5’s I’m not thrilled about the initial impression I got from the short test driving I did while they were on. Even with UCA I’m not convinced they won’t behave similarly on my tundra. I may try to return them, or possibly exchange them.

I welcome any feedback or questions. Thanks for your input

Those coilovers are for a 07-21 Tundra (and usually fit Sequioa), not a 2022+ vehicle. The lengths btw the two are VERY different, which is why its sitting so tall.

880-02-947 (What you have, and PN is not for Long Travel)
    COMPRESSED: 18.1920
    EXTENDED: 24.860

    883-06-218 (What you need)
    COMPRESSED: 15.640
    EXTENDED: 21.680

I have no knowledge on these spring lengths only want to point out, Sequoias lag a year behind the Tundras, so the 2022 Sequoia is still on the 2nd gen platform (07-21 tundras).

If thats correct and does bolt in, my next suggestion would be springs. If our customers are running stock weight up front and dont plan to add anything else, we drop spring rate quite a bit.

2022 Sequoia is the same as a 2021 Tundra. It was only redesigned as a 2023.

I have a Tundra and Sequoia also. Even though the Tundra front suspension fits on the Sequoia, I think they have different spring rates. I have not confirmed but I think the stock Tundra springs has a higher spring rate vs the stock Sequoia springs. When the aftermarket manufacturers design the lifts, they base it off the Tundra specs. In your case, Fox advertise 2.5-3" lift on a Tundra but may not have tested on a Sequoia. That's why when installed on Sequoia it lifts higher than Tundra because of the higher spring rate. Even if you look at the Bilstein 6112, they advertise different lift heights for the Tundra and Sequoia even when on the same clip settings. For example, it says if on clip#3, it lifts Tundra 2.7" and Sequoia 3.3"

For reference, I put a set of Bilstein 5100's with Tundra front springs on my 2nd Gen Sequoia to level it out and ended up with significant increase in ride height. I even used the lowest perch setting on the Bilsteins. I attributed this to the spring rates, they were absolutely different.
