Hello, I have searched high and low for a thread with some helpful solutions on how to make sure the wiring in my dash and the connectors are properly wired to change out my non factory radio.....with no avail. So, the previous owner replaced the factory radio with a radio that came out of a Silverado truck. It does not work... it was never installed properly. I believe they paid someone to install the radio who had no idea what they were doing, unfortunate for us. I'm just looking for a little bit of help. So I have some pics below and was hoping someone could steer me in the right direction. Just take a look at the pics and tell me what you think might be wrong as there is absolutely no power. Plus as you can see all the extra wires that were just bunched up behind the radio....Can I safely cut those wires? Thanks 1/2 Pint

We figured it out. Someone did move the pins/wires in the dash.

That's a whole mess of ugly. Glad you got it figured out.

One way to find out the speakers wire colors is removing one or two door panels and checking what wire color goes to the speakers, once you got a couple figured it out it’s much easier to find the rest.

I'm still amazed at the things people will do. How in the world was this a better option than buying a properly fit aftermarket unit?

It's not completely installed yet. It will fit fine after it's done. Lol.

It will fit. We will have track down the mounting brackets and put the face frame on. Because the person who installed the other radio removed the brackets.
